Force wasted no time making a statement on day one as they finished first in their opening pool despite being seeded second. They handled business in their first two matches in dominant fashion, winning both in straight sets while not allowing a single opponent to reach 21 points. That momentum carried into a marquee matchup against top seeded Rancho 17 Premier. In a match that showcased grit and high level volleyball on both sides, Force rose to the occasion and outlasted their opponent in a decisive third set 15-7. That win not only solidified their place in the top half of the field, but also boosted their overall position to 18th heading into day two.

The level of competition ramped up significantly on day two as every team in their pool had either won or finished second in their respective day one pools. Force continued to show their strength as a complete team, earning victories in their first two matches with disciplined play and strong execution across the board. Their final match of the day against Atomic 17 Smack Premier turned into another battle that went the distance. After splitting the first two sets in tightly contested fashion, the match came down to a third set once again. Although Force came up short 10-15, both teams secured their place in the Gold Bracket and remained firmly in contention for a national bid.

Day three featured the top 24 teams in the tournament, and Force showed they belonged among the elite. They opened the day with a strong straight set win over MD Juniors, controlling the match from start to finish. Their next matchup against Torch tested their resilience in a big way. After winning the first set convincingly, they dropped the second and were forced into yet another deciding third set. With both teams fighting to stay alive, Force found a way to close it out 15-13 in a thriller. That victory set up a rematch with Atomic 17 Smack Premier, and just like their previous meeting, it delivered another three set battle. Force dropped the first set but responded with determination to take the second before narrowly falling 12-15 in the deciding frame.

What stood out most throughout the tournament was the collective effort from everyone involved. This was a true team performance where every player and coach contributed to the success of the group. Outside hitter Ava Seamans was electric, showcasing her athleticism and ability to score from all areas of the front row. Her lightning quick arm swing and impressive vertical made her a constant threat and a player that will certainly draw attention at the next level. Libero [player_tooltip player_id='507926' first='Cayleigh' last='Monson'] anchored the back row with poise and consistency, displaying strong fundamentals and excellent control that kept the offense in system throughout the weekend.

Middle [player_tooltip player_id='722138' first='Shelby' last='Aikens'] made a major impact at the net, dominating both offensively and defensively. She was one of the top point scorers for the team and brought a competitive edge that elevated those around her. Outside hitter Lily Lukianowicz also played a crucial role, particularly in the back row where her defensive efforts kept rallies alive and gave her team additional opportunities to score.

By the end of the weekend, [program_tooltip program_id='908875' first='San' last='Antonio Force'] 17 Darkside had firmly established themselves as one of the top teams in the field with a fifth place finish at one of the toughest qualifiers in the country. With more opportunities ahead to qualify for the USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championship, this is a team that should absolutely be on everyone's radar. Their resilience, chemistry, and competitive fire make them a serious contender moving forward, and based on what we saw in Las Vegas, they are far from done making noise this season.
