Union 15 Green Elite, Gold Travel Team Overviews

The Green team just finished 7-1 in the Nike Mideast Qualifier in St. Louis to tie for 19th out of 72 teams in the 15 American Red Division.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Green</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The team features two utility players in Silver Creek freshman Macy Warren and Lola Grace Folz. Sophomore Ella Thompson, North Oldham freshman [player_tooltip player_id='756143' first='Kylee' last='Thompson'] and St. John Paul II freshman Hadley Maymon are the defensive specialists. The setter is Our Lady of Providence freshman Elly Rodewig.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One middle blocker is New Albany sophomore Tamia Evans. DuSablon takes out of system sets and pounds them to different parts of the court. She can smoke out tough crosses and adjust in the air to tip balls over blockers. DuSablon has a nice wrist snap to also take effective swings from the right side. Her versatility also shows on defense. DuSablon measures balls well and sets her arms up to make precise passes. She does a good job watching setters and hitters then going hard after balls. Northington's confidence reflects in her play on the court. Albanese does not hesitate to use one arm to make saves, but makes sure it goes toward the net.
