Volt 16s has done it again—and this time, they've taken it to another level. Not once. Not twice. But three times, this group has stepped onto the biggest stages and proven they belong, earning a triple qualification to the USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championships in Indianapolis. That alone is rare. In fact, it's hard to remember a team out of North Dakota putting together a run like this. And yet, here they are—setting the standard and rewriting what's possible.

This team hasn't just been winning—they've been building. Over the past year, Volt 16s has been a constant in conversations, a team that continues to show up on recruiting radars and force college coaches to take notice. You don't have to search hard to find them—coaches are making their way to their courts, watching them live, evaluating how they handle pressure, tempo, and high-level competition. Because when you watch Volt, you're not just seeing talent—you're seeing intention.

It shows in everything they do.

From the first serve to the final point, this is a group that understands the work required to play at the next level. Their habits, their discipline, and their attention to detail are all aligned with one goal: getting better every single day. They're not waiting for opportunities—they're preparing for them. And in a game where mistakes are inevitable, Volt has separated themselves by minimizing them. They stay efficient, they stay composed, and when matches tighten, they find ways to execute.

That mentality was on full display in the championship match against UEPA 16D.

It wasn't easy. It wasn't clean. And that's exactly why it mattered.

Volt had to fight, adjust, and respond against a team that refused to back down. Instead of unraveling, they leaned into their system—tightening first contact, trusting their tempo, and staying aggressive without forcing. When the match demanded composure, Volt delivered. When the moment required execution, they answered.

That's what triple-qualified teams do.

They don't panic. They perform.

And when you break down this roster, it's easy to see why.

[player_tooltip player_id='727997' first='Baylor' last='Dinger'] anchors the back row with a presence that goes beyond skill—she brings confidence to the entire unit. Her platform is consistent, her reads are early, and she embraces being targeted, turning pressure into opportunity. What separates her is her leadership and composure; she steadies the game when it starts to speed up and gives her team trust in every first contact.

[player_tooltip player_id='736781' first='Bostynn' last='Evenson'] continues to evolve into a right pin who impacts far more than just the stat sheet. What truly stands out is her motor and willingness to stay engaged every single rally. She doesn't wait for the ball—she works to stay available, closes blocks with intent, and competes for every point. Her growth is driven by effort, and that consistency is what's pushing her into a higher-level impact role.

[player_tooltip player_id='725601' first='Mya' last='Glandt'] brings a dynamic edge to the pin, combining offensive production with a competitive mindset that doesn't back down. She's aggressive in transition and finds ways to score even when the play breaks down, but it's her confidence and resilience that elevate her. She plays with belief—and that carries into big moments.

[player_tooltip player_id='748339' first='Dori' last='Granlund'], a lefty on the right side, is simply different. Her ability to score in rhythm, attack angles that most hitters don't see, and control the net makes her one of the most dangerous players on the floor—mark my words. But beyond the physical tools, it's her presence, her competitiveness, and her refusal to be outworked that set her apart.

[player_tooltip player_id='728596' first='Ellyssa' last='Holmberg'] brings consistency and reliability to the middle, executing her role with discipline and purpose. She runs clean routes, stays available, and finishes efficiently, but more importantly, she shows a commitment to doing the small things right. She's the type of player who earns trust through consistency and effort.

[player_tooltip player_id='728442' first='Shea' last='Olson'] provides a level of calm and control in the back row that allows everything else to function. She delivers consistent first contact and extends rallies with effort and awareness, but it's her toughness that stands out. She competes through every play and never lets the moment get too big.

[player_tooltip player_id='733255' first='Brynlie' last='Richman'] is one of the best setters in the state—period—and she proves it with how she controls the match. She delivers tempo with precision, keeps hitters in rhythm, and makes high-level decisions even when the pass breaks down. What separates her is her composure and command; she doesn't just run an offense, she elevates it. Brynlie's leadership, court vision, and ability to perform under pressure make her the type of setter who defines a team's success.

[player_tooltip player_id='727985' first='Taylor' last='Sanders'], coming off injury, is showing exactly what resilience looks like. She's returning stronger, more confident, and ready to contribute in big ways on the pin. Her ability to push through adversity and continue to compete at a high level speaks volumes about her character and commitment.

This isn't just a talented team—it's a complete one.

Every player understands their role. Every player contributes. And more importantly, every player is bought into the process. That's what makes this run different. It's not built on one standout performance—it's built on consistency across the board.

And that's what college coaches are seeing.

They're seeing athletes who are coachable. Athletes who respond to feedback, who make adjustments mid-match, and who understand how to compete within a system. They're seeing players who aren't afraid of pressure, who want the ball late, and who stay aggressive when the moment calls for it. And they're seeing a team that reflects what the next level demands.

But beyond the wins, beyond the qualifications, this team represents something bigger.

They're showing younger players across North Dakota—and beyond—that there isn't just one path to success. You don't have to be at the biggest club. You don't have to follow the expected route. What you do need is character. You need drive. You need the willingness to outwork, outcompete, and outlast.

Volt 16s is proving that.

They're proving that if you invest in your development, if you commit to the process, and if you stay consistent, opportunities will come. And when they do, you have to be ready to take them.

Three times now, they have.

And with Nationals in Indianapolis on the horizon, this group isn't just showing up—they're arriving with purpose. ~Theresa@prepdigdakotas
