The 14s division continues to showcase a wave of young talent beginning to separate themselves through skill, confidence, on-court presence and well as a plethora of Tik Tok creator vibes! In all seriousness, I love this group. They are not only producing in key moments but also showing the kind of development that points toward long-term success. Whether it's defensive grit, offensive versatility, or high-level decision-making, each player brings something valuable to the court. Here is my first round of standouts from Cedarburg:

Grace Ruchti | Libero | 608 Juniors 14 Select
Grace Ruchti anchors the backcourt with a steady and confident presence that elevates her team's defensive consistency. She reads hitters well and positions herself early, allowing her to control serve receive and extend rallies with clean, controlled touches. Her platform discipline stands out, as she consistently delivers accurate passes that keep her offense in system. Ruchti's defensive range and willingness to pursue every ball highlight her motor and commitment to the position. Putting her in the center of Libero talk, is her back row attacking ability. Over and over, teams could not defend her. Love seeing swings from the back row!

[player_tooltip player_id='961003' first='Kiera' last='Johnson'] | Setter | BOSS VBC 14-Pink
[player_tooltip player_id='961003' first='Kiera' last='Johnson'] directs the offense with poise and a growing command of tempo that allows her hitters to stay in rhythm. She does a strong job of squaring to target and delivers a consistent, hittable ball across all zones. Johnson's decision-making continues to evolve, showing flashes of advanced court awareness as she begins to spread the offense more effectively. She remains composed in transition and works hard to put her hitters in favorable situations. Defensively, she contributes with effort and is willing to extend plays when needed.

[player_tooltip player_id='921548' first='Lucy' last='Biesterveld'] | MB | [program_tooltip program_id='933367' first='Valley' last='Velocity'] 14-Purple
[player_tooltip player_id='921548' first='Lucy' last='Biesterveld'] brings a physical presence at the net, using her length and timing to impact both the blocking and attacking game. She closes well to the pins and shows an improving ability to read opposing setters, allowing her to get hands on balls consistently. She is a great blocker! Offensively, she is developing as a quick option in the middle and continues to grow more confident in transition swings. Biesterveld competes with energy and is not afraid to be aggressive at the net. As her offensive tempo and lateral speed continue to develop, she has the tools to become a dominant middle.

Allison Jozwiak | OH | WI Juniors 14 Elite
Allison Jozwiak is a dynamic outside hitter who brings a balanced and versatile offensive game to the court. She shows the ability to score from multiple areas, mixing power swings with controlled shots to keep defenses off balance. Her approach is fluid, and she does a good job adjusting to different set locations. In serve receive, she contributes with solid passing and continues to improve her consistency. Jozwiak's serve is catching some attention and there is plenty to evaluate. Serve after serve. Point after point.

Aubrie Orrick | DS | WI Juniors 14 Select
Aubrie “Ace” Orrick brings grit and reliability to the defensive specialist role, and she can serve the ball. I lost count a couple of times, as she dominated the serving game. Defensively, she tracks the ball well and shows strong anticipation, allowing her to get into position quickly. Her platform control helps stabilize serve receive, and she plays with confidence in passing lanes. Orrick's defensive hustle stands out, as she is relentless in pursuing balls and extending plays. As she continues to build strength and quickness, her defensive impact will only grow. In the interim it's going to be fun to simply watch her.

[player_tooltip player_id='522129' first='Madelyn' last='Jansen'] | OH | [program_tooltip program_id='428662' first='Wisconsin' last='Ice'] National
[player_tooltip player_id='522129' first='Madelyn' last='Jansen'] brings a strong, confident presence to the outside with the ability to impact the match in multiple phases. She generates solid power on her swings and shows a willingness to challenge blockers. Her offensive game continues to expand as she becomes more comfortable mixing shots and adjusting mid-rally. In the back row, she contributes with effort and is developing more consistency in serve receive. As her all-around game continues to evolve, she is positioning herself as a well-rounded and impactful outside hitter.

As this group continues to develop, their combination of skill, work ethic, and game awareness sets a strong foundation for what's ahead. The 14s level is just the beginning, and these athletes are already showing signs of what they can become. With continued growth and experience, expect to see their impact expand as they make their mark in the seasons to come.
