Four Young 1st Region Players to Add to Must See List

Bodell consistently puts her hitters in position to succeed and executes a variety of sets. Bodell displays great versatility on defense. Bodell has great range, quickly tracking down balls under control. Bodell has shown she can handle well-struck balls. Grogan hits balls off blocks for big points and can tip over them to shallow zones. Grogan does not hesitate to tap overpassed balls to lines and instinctively shoves balls to corners if the openings present themselves. She also sends sound off shots to the corners. Defensively, Grogan executes good overhead and bump passes. Grogan also handles tough shallow crosses. Kemp makes the most out of second touches, consistently sending balls back toward the net. Kemp gets a lot of hands on balls at the net, at least slowing them down for defensive specialists. Kemp is a sound solo blocker and sends across tough serves. Kemp uses her setting experience to surprise opponents putting second touches over. Owens hustles hard after balls all over the court. Owens has displayed improved ball control during club season. Owens squares her arms with balls and makes crisp passes.
