Kudzu Classic Setters Keeping Their Teams Organized and in Rhythm

At the Kudzu Classic, the 16s division brought a good mix of structure, pace, and team identity. For setters, this level is about more than just putting up the second ball — it is about managing tempo, keeping hitters comfortable, and helping the offense stay composed when the first contact is not perfect. The players who stood out were the ones who brought steadiness to the floor and helped their teams stay organized through different match situations. This group did a strong job creating rhythm and keeping their offenses connected.    Miley brings a confident presence and does a nice job keeping the offense under control. She works to maintain tempo and distribute in a way that helps her hitters stay engaged. Her consistency with location helps the offense feel more settled. Miley contributes to overall team flow. ~ Samantha Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga     Millie does a strong job handling the responsibility of the second contact and keeping the offense moving. She works well off the pass and continues to give her hitters chances even when plays get less than perfect. Her composure helps the team stay in system longer. She works to deliver a hittable ball and keep multiple options involved when possible. Her willingness to stay engaged every rally helps her team maintain rhythm. She works to get to the ball cleanly and gives her hitters opportunities to stay available across rotations. Her consistency helps the team stay structured in transition situations. Mary supports offensive stability well. ~ Samantha Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga     Teaghan does a good job keeping the offense settled and giving her hitters a consistent ball to work with. She stays composed in system and works through imperfect passes without letting the tempo completely fall apart. Her decision-making helps create balance rather than forcing the offense into one pattern. Teaghan contributes to a steady offensive rhythm. ~ Samantha Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga     Josie shows good control of tempo and does a strong job helping organize the offense throughout the match. She positions well to the ball and works to give her hitters a consistent look. Her ability to stay composed in transition helps stabilize the team when rallies get extended. This group showed the ability to settle the floor, manage tempo, and create opportunities for the hitters around them. As the tournament moved along, that kind of consistency remained one of the most important parts of team success.
