We're back for more.

Our most recent feature honed in on a stacked group of Nebraska 2028s making spring gains during the ongoing club season. These watch-list athletes are making a strong case to join the rankings, reminding us that we can never truly capture the full prep landscape with periodic updates. Standout players are emerging every week.

So, we're expanding our tour of the watch list. Who else has soared into the spotlight during the busy April gauntlet?

The Great Plains Region Bid Tournament gave us a valuable glimpse at the up-and-coming 2028s in the Banzai VBC gym. Murdoch was already on our radar after logging reps with Conestoga High School last fall. She has followed that up with an impactful tenure with Banzai VBC 16 Select, helping the team at various spots in the frontcourt. We saw Murdoch take over on the right side against GPR competition, but she's more than just a standard opposite. This dynamic athlete can also terminate in front of the setter with up-tempo sets in the middle. Murdoch's ever-changing role will be fascinating to follow as 16 Select continues to gel.

Bring on the next wave of gems from Nebraska ONE. Seward High School and Nebraska ONE have established quite a pipeline lately, and Kimbrough adds to the narrative on the 16 Black roster. She has been one of 16 Black's can't-miss attackers for a while, and her ability to adapt and evolve has set her apart. Kimbrough can bolster Nebraska ONE's firepower on the right or set the standard as an out-of-system slugger on the left. Her quick, explosive approach allows her to get on top of the ball in scramble situations, leading to rally-changing swings along the net. 16 Black made a positive impression with a top-five finish at the ASICS Presidents' Day Classic, yielding further momentum later in the spring.

Premier Nebraska 16 Silver has reinvented itself this year, and it all starts with the physical juggernauts in the front row. Liebentritt leads this crew with her pin-to-pin blocking prowess in the middle. She has been an exceptional defensive weapon for 16 Silver, but Liebentritt has also upgraded her offense to become a do-everything game-changer. Her early appearance on the Prep Dig Circuit set the tone for even more highlight moments in the Premier Nebraska gym.

We had to get Premier Nebraska 16 Red in the mix. Like many of the athletes on this feature, Krejci used Kansas City's Show Me Qualifier as the springboard for her future rankings rise. She piloted the 16 Red offense to a runner-up finish in the 16 Liberty divsion, locking up the team's spot in the GJNC field. Krejci is also a stout right-back defender who is not afraid to take the initiative while patrolling the "campfire." This hustle and grit should reappear in Indianapolis.

Nebraska Elite 16 Flames returns to the 2028 discussion. This crew has been making waves in the Great Plains Region and beyond, culminating in a 6-0 start at last weekend's Salt Lake City Showdown. Owen has been a steady contributor to this group's success and has built upon her strong showing at the Nebraska Exposure Tour. This Omaha Westside sophomore can anchor a defense across the back row or wield her quick arm on the left antenna. 16 Flames has harnessed Owen's versatility at every venue imaginable.

Omaha Fusion is fresh on our minds after the Great Plains Region Bid Tournament. This diverse group of 2028s garnered plenty of early attention at the ASICS Presidents' Day Classic, and momentum hasn't slowed since. Junior is a vital ball control asset for Fusion, whether it's through her smooth setting or relentless floor defense. We're bound to see more from Junior with several new stars rotating into this fall's Elkhorn South lineup. That Class A experience could propel her into our future rankings.

We can always count on VCNebraska to deliver some backcourt excellence. Warnock brings VCNebraska 16 Blue back into this series after the team's late surge at the Great Plains Region Bid Tournament. This Lincoln Standing Bear underclassman donned the libero jersey and went beyond quality passes and floor defense. Warnock was also an essential leader in the huddle while aiding her teammates in the serve-receive pattern. We need a few more liberos in our ranked hierarchy, and Warnock may be one of the first in line.
