SRVA always reveals which middles can truly impact a match beyond simple blocking numbers. The best middles influence tempo, close seams consistently, create offensive spacing, and force opponents to adjust game plans. Across the Bid division this weekend, several Georgia athletes did exactly that while helping their teams survive some of the deepest pools of the season.

Despite [program_tooltip program_id='429883' first='Tsunami' last=''] Burney facing a difficult opening pool, Addison continued competing hard throughout the weekend and helped her team rebound well during Bronze play. She brought solid size to the net and showed flashes offensively when her team found rhythm. Addison's ability to keep competing after tough matches stood out and reflected well on her overall mentality. ~ Samantha Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga

Ansley was a steady presence for Walton Elite throughout a difficult Gold bracket. She showed good blocking instincts and did a strong job reading opposing setters. Her offensive timing improved as the weekend progressed, and Ansley became increasingly effective attacking in front of the setter. She looked comfortable competing against bigger, older front-row players. ~ Samantha Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga

Emily brought strong energy and competitiveness to the middle position during [program_tooltip program_id='429883' first='Tsunami' last=''] Jeff's solid tournament run. She attacked aggressively in transition and played with confidence around the net. What stood out most was Emily's effort level — she stayed active every rally and consistently worked to stay involved offensively even during chaotic points. ~ Samantha Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga

Christian was one of the more physically imposing middles in the division and helped anchor one of the tournament's strongest teams. ASHOK's ability to pressure opponents at the net consistently started with their middle presence, and Christian played a huge part in that. She moved laterally well, stayed disciplined with her hands, and created difficult attacking windows for opposing hitters. ~ Samantha Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga

Morgan played a major role in A5 Kristina's strong Gold bracket appearance. She consistently closed blocks well and helped take away angles against opposing pins. Offensively, Morgan stayed available in transition and scored efficiently when given opportunities. Her timing looked sharp throughout the event, especially during quicker offensive sequences. ~ Samantha Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga

The middle position can completely shift the flow of a match, especially at a tournament as physical as SRVA. This group showed how valuable middles are when they can contribute beyond just height — whether through movement, discipline, communication, or offensive timing. As the postseason continues, expect several of these athletes to become even bigger factors for their teams.
