It's crazy to think that less than a week away, the 2025-26 school season will be over for most everyone and summer leagues will begin starting up. We are very aware that they are JUST summer league and teams will be missing players from week to week, winning isn't the main priority and most haven't played as a group for many months. It is however a great opportunity to work on team chemistry, begin integrating freshman/transfers into the culture and see the growth that each individual has had over the off season.

We have the tentative schedules for both Catoosa and Claremore's summer league. If there are others, please send them our way and we dive into those as well. Let's take a look at week one matchups that are on June 2nd in Claremore and 4th in Catoosa.

Bartlesville vs Verdigris @ Catoosa

Class 6A Bartlesville competes in the TOUGH FVC that includes teams like Jenks and BA. Verdigris is a part of the tightly contested Verdigris Valley Conference. Both teams have some solid returning talent to build around. Verdigris will have a stacked senior group that has seen lots of playing time in their careers. Players like [player_tooltip player_id='739531' first='Mia' last='Guerrero'], Addilynn McMahan, [player_tooltip player_id='740817' first='Julia' last='Timms'], Kaydence O'Brien and [player_tooltip player_id='874968' first='Jylian' last='Pagan'] were starters last season. The Cardinals will need to try and slow down [player_tooltip player_id='739620' first='Mia' last='Johnson'] for the Bruins. She is a heavy hitter on the outside. Don't leave off keeley Elkins and [player_tooltip player_id='750697' first='Lyndee' last='Revard'] from the list. This crew won 20 matches last season and will look to keep that trend going.

Claremore vs Sand Springs @ Claremore

Sand Springs had one of the best seasons in recent school history, finishing with a 21-15 record. They had multiple solid FVC wins such as Owasso and Sapulpa. They were led by standout Setter/Right Side [player_tooltip player_id='749276' first='Addie' last='Ray'] and will lead them again. She has recently committed to Tampa to play for thier beach program. [player_tooltip player_id='919279' first='Autry' last='O'Dell'] in the middle will be a key scoring option who will need to be involved to help balance the offense. [player_tooltip player_id='973321' first='Ellie' last='Sartin'] has had a great club season on Virago 15-1 and could be huge for them defensivley. They have solid young players but they will need to mature quickly to get ready for playoffs in October. Claremore is also coming off one of the best seasons in their school history. They finished with a 30-8 record and sits at 9th in the state in wins over the past 4 seasons. They will be led by a senior group that is talented, seasoned and hungry for more. Thier seniors this season will be [player_tooltip player_id='741599' first='Ava' last='Tanner'], [player_tooltip player_id='666302' first='Addison' last='Doyle'], [player_tooltip player_id='285769' first='Grace' last='Baughman'], Audrey Shaw, Mariyah Dupuch, [player_tooltip player_id='736675' first='Madison' last='Godding'], [player_tooltip player_id='734803' first='Bella' last='Hoisington'] and the addition of [player_tooltip player_id='611343' first='Emme' last='Baker'].
