2027 Middles That Will Turn Heads This Fall

<p>There's a lot of high-powered middles in the Class of 2027 that are gearing up for their senior year.</p>   <p>We've covered a lot of the talent in this group, but there's eight upcoming senior middles just outside the top of the list that I think can explode in the fall.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='897539' first='Haley' last='Armock'], Rockford</strong></h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">In a talented offense, Armock really impressed as a junior, hitting .350 for one of the top teams in the state. She can play the outside or the middle, but finishes at a high rate in either case. An Akron commit, Armock's role should increase this fall and it will be exciting to see her showcase her complete set of skills to keep Rockford near the top.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='516948' first='Lola' last='Brown'], TC St. Francis</strong></h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">A Gannon commit, the 6'2” Brown made big strides in her game as a junior and that should continue heading into her senior year. She uses her length well, but has really improved in her court IQ and being able to mix up her attack locations. Her timing and footwork keep getting better and better, which makes her more difficult to contain.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='586777' first='Nemiah' last='Carper'], Roscommon</strong></h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">An explosive talent in Northern Michigan, Carper is a player that every team has to game plan for, but it isn't going to keep her from having an impact. She soars off the floor and has great swing mechanics to deliver a powerful attack every time. Carper can power through blockers, but also make some impressive attack angles that can't be defended.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='827359' first='Megan' last='Glass'], Hudsonville</strong></h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Glass was as dominant a middle as you could find in 2026. She hit .459 for the Eagles, which is an incredible rate. She had great chemistry with her setters, but had the court vision to know where to place the ball. She also has lightning quickness to deliver some thunderous attacks that leave opposing defenses stunned. The Aquinas commit should keep putting up strong numbers this fall.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='523848' first='Nicole' last='McDowell'], Notre Dame Prep</strong></h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">A 6'1” Rider commit, McDowell can also play anywhere along the net and finish at a high rate. She's got big power to go along with good footwork and agility. She's going to be a big threat for Notre Dame Prep, as it always finds itself among the contenders in Division 2. McDowell should be in for a big fall with her shot-making ability.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='810418' first='Adlin' last='Moore'], Holly</strong></h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">A middle that is definitely flying under the radar, the Findlay commit has made a big splash in the Flint Metro League. Moore shows consistent finishing rates while improving on her court awareness and timing. She puts in the work on the floor, being a key defender while also being able to take over a match with her attacks. Look for big things from the 6'1” middle this year.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='826916' first='Kyra' last='Vukovic'], Lansing Catholic</strong></h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">The 6'4” Vukovic has to be on the radar for colleges looking to fill out their 2027 classes. She's a multi-sport talent that moves smoothly along the net and can make all the swings, while being a dominant blocking presence. Vukovic has shown she's a lot more than just length, and can definitely be an impact player at the next level.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='555114' first='Jenna' last='Wiley'], Pennfield</strong></h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Wiley is listed at 5'10” but plays much longer. Her court vision is arguably her biggest strength, as she stays focused in her approach and mixes up her attack locations well. She's continuing to improve on her speed of play, which should only unlock more to her game. Her composed play already leads to a lot of success. When she finds that next gear, it could get scary for opponents.</p>
