2027 Outsides I Can’t Wait To See This Fall

<p>When you're sizing up one of the top senior classes the state of Michigan will ever see, it's hard to know just where to start in terms of players you can't wait to see.</p>   <p>The outside hitters in the Class of 2027 are unbelievably talented and very deep. There's some big names up top, but there's also some players I'm really excited to catch for their senior year, as they have a chance to really showcase how talented they are.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='839826' first='Elise' last='Biermann'], Eisenhower</strong></h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Biermann was a prospect that was somewhat slowed by a knee injury suffered late in her sophomore year and I expect to see her put forth her best game this fall for a stacked Eisenhower team. Biermann has the power, but always showed a high court IQ in her play as well. She can be as good as anyone in the state when healthy.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='780722' first='Courtney' last='Dyer'], Father Gabriel Richard</strong></h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">The Albion commit, Dyer, had some really impressive stretches as a junior and plays with a composed game that should help her take an even bigger step forward for her senior season. Dyer is consistent with her form and the pop she's able to put on the ball. She can finish from either end of the net and also has a back-row swing that gives defenses trouble.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='816366' first='Madeline' last='Kozuch'], Morley Stanwood</strong></h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">The Aquinas commit is going to be making a lot of waves in Northern Michigan this fall. She's proven she can take on a big workload and lead the Mohawks to success, so I know she has her sights set high for her senior campaign. There isn't a spot on the floor that Kozuch isn't a threat, which makes her a constant highlight reel player.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='454352' first='Calli' last='LeFevre'], Marian</strong></h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">LeFevre was one of the best outside prospects in this class early on her prep career, but injuries have nagged her the last two seasons. In 2026, I'm hoping for a healthy run for her so she can get back to showing us how talented she is and let the state remember just how explosive a hitter she can be. It would be great to see LeFevre get to leave it all on the floor this year.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='442971' first='Brenna' last='Mirovsky'], Oxford</strong></h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">A do-everything player, Mirovsky sparked a massive breakout run for Oxford in the 2025 postseason. This fall, the Wildcats should be riding a big wave of momentum, led by Mirovsky, an elite-level defender that can also hammer the ball. But, her energy and enthusiasm may be her biggest strength and I'm excited to see that shine through this fall.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='523843' first='Addison' last='Naplin'], Vicksburg</strong></h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Naplin is a player that put up big numbers, but didn't get the recognition she deserved last year. That has to provide some added motivation for her to take over matches this fall. The 5'11” Lee College commit has the ability to do it as well. She can impact the game in all three phases, but when she gets a clean look at the ball it's something to see.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='523847' first='Rory' last='O'Connell'], Howell</strong></h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">A Grand Valley State commit, O'Connell has been putting down big kill numbers the past couple of years, but has been somewhat under the radar. Look for this athletic outside to really shine in 2026, using her mixture of power and finesse to finish points. O'Connell moves around the floor really well to set herself up for success at the net.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='455952' first='Sofie' last='Williams'], Oakland Christian</strong></h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">An aggressive hitter in the lower divisions, Williams has all the tools to be a dominant player for the Lancers. This Davenport commit can make herself very long at the net, and has a fast and technically sound follow through to deliver lightning-fast attacks. Williams has put in a lot of work to keep raising her game, and I have no doubt she will do so again this fall.</p>
