2028 Outsides Poised To Raise Their Stock

Be sure to get locked in before you get left out.**</em></p>   <p>The Class of 2028 is looking like a really special class for the state of Michigan.</p>   <p>When it comes to outside hitters, there's some very elite talent. We've seen what this class can do during the 2025 fall season and there's a handful of outsides we think are primed to really elevate their status in the eyes of scouts around the Midwest.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='710236' first='Morgan' last='Borodychuk'], Mt. Pleasant</strong></h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Borodychuk was one of the most complete sophomores in the state in 2025. She impacted the game in all areas for the Oilers and should come into 2026 looking to really establish herself as one of the best prospects in this class. She can put the ball away at a high rate, but also has a great blocking sense and a solid serve.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='817491' first='Olivia' last='Brown'], St. Louis</strong></h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Brown is definitely going to be a player to keep an eye on in the Central Michigan area. She's turned some heads over the last year and just keeps getting better. She's got the power, the finesse, the smarts, and the athletic ability to be a special talent. Brown is going to rack up the kills quickly in her junior season.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='807820' first='Addison' last='Bultynck'], Romeo</strong></h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Bultynck puts consistent pop on the ball, no matter what kind of set she receives. She knows her swing, and her strengths, and does a good job to get the most out of each opportunity. Along with being a solid defender, Bultynck is developing as a leader and that should lead to a big fall season.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='644262' first='Amaya' last='Frias'], Ionia</strong></h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Another solid all-around outside that made an impact last fall, Frias is a player that is going to find a way to propel her team to victory. Whether it's a momentum-swinging kill, an incredible dig, a potent ace, or a timely block, Frias can do everything you want in a lead outside hitter.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='752615' first='Eliana' last='Hulst'], West Ottawa</strong></h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">At 6'3” Hulst brings some elite length to the net, but she's also got the athleticism and footwork to make herself a very dangerous hitter. She keeps adding new pieces to her attack and making smart plays to go alongside her power game. This fall should be a big opportunity for Hulst to dominate.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='579164' first='Ava' last='Rewalt'], Richmond</strong></h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">A scrappy player that wins a lot of battles at the net, Rewalt isn't going to back down from a challenge. She's an explosive and agile player that can put the ball away and come through with some timely digs. This fall should be a big opportunity for Rewalt to show how much of an impact she can have.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='839870' first='Harper' last='Schaedig'], Lowell</strong></h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Part of the talented young offense at Lowell, Schaedig can do a little bit of everything for the Red Arrows. She showed she can be a go-to hitter on the outside, while also being a real force from the service line. There should be great chemistry among the Lowell offense this fall with Schaedig leading the way.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='808004' first='Lauren' last='West'], Croswell-Lexington</strong></h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">West plays really long at the net and she's got great form on her swing. She covers a lot of space on her approach and then unloads with a very athletic swing with great arm speed. West is getting better and better as a defender as well, making her a great prospect for the next level.</p>
