It's crazy to think That the school year is already finished and summer leagues begin tomorrow. We are very aware that they are JUST summer league and teams will be missing players from week to week, winning isn't the main priority and most haven't played as a group for many months. It is however a great opportunity to work on team chemistry, begin integrating freshman/transfers into the culture and see the growth that each individual has had over the off season. We are excited to See what the new school season has to offer for 2026.

We have the tentative schedules for both Catoosa and Claremore's summer league. If there are others, please send them our way and we dive into those as well. Lets take a look at a week one matchup that is on June 2nd in Claremore.

Sapulpa ended with a 16-20 record and just missed out on the state tournament. Corey harp turned this program into a top tier type of team in class 5A but will be stepping down and handing it over to former Seminole State College head coach, Hannah Kemp. She will look to get this team back to the 20+ win type of team they usually are. The last time these two teams met was two season ago in the regional final at Claremore. That match went all 5 sets and ended in a dramatic comeback from behind 15-12 win for the Chieftans. [player_tooltip player_id='774413' first='Adrian' last='Hawley'] can really make a name for herself this season as she now has a ton of varsity experience under her belt. [player_tooltip player_id='880548' first='Kayliana' last='Hatfield'], [player_tooltip player_id='780183' first='Ella' last='Ord'] and [player_tooltip player_id='874963' first='Brooklyn' last='Barnett'] will be the cornerstones in the kill category. [player_tooltip player_id='776021' first='Madyson' last='Greenfeather'] and [player_tooltip player_id='739257' first='Aubrey' last='Mathias'] very well could run a 6-2 and look to control the offense. This team will have a chance to squeak into the state tournament if they can find the right time to catch fire.

Pryor finished the season 18-17 to solidify their first winning season in school history. Even though they haven't had volleyball long, They have trended upwards in win total every single season. Will 2026 be the year they crack the 20 win mark? They will have Jayce Stimson at the helm this season, who is a Tiger alum. She saw some success as the head coach at Wagoner the past couple seasons and with [program_tooltip program_id='750137' first='Virago' last='Volleyball Club']. She will be looking to players like Lexi Line and Brooklyn Bender on the pin for some offense, along with Keaton and Kam Willyard up front. Blair Taylor might be a potential back row option that can hold down the fort in serve receive to kick start their offense.

Good luck to both teams and all the players involved. We will have multiple scouts there to see which players standout early in the season not just fro these two teams but all in attendance.
