We're running it back with the 2029s.

This summer stretch has allowed us to jump around the age spectrum to address Nebraska's numerous prep storylines. We've had the early flurry of 2028 recruiting news, along with our recent discussion on rising seniors commanding the spotlight before GJNC.

So, naturally, we've recently pivoted to the Class of 2029 as our GJNC previews roll on. Part 1 already introduced some big-name stars, but the talent pool here is vast.

Bring on the next wave.

Just like in Part 1, we're leading off this feature with a 2029 star playing up with the 16s. Ramsey carries on a rich tradition of tremendous liberos in the Norris pipeline--and the [program_tooltip program_id='428743' first='VCNebraska' last=''] pipeline, for that matter. 2026 has brought many of the same storylines as last year regarding Ramsey's growth and achievement with [program_tooltip program_id='428743' first='VCNebraska' last='']. Her 16 Elite crew locked up a 16 USA berth through the Northern Lights Qualifier, but that wasn't the end of the line. Ramsey then brought her lockdown defense to the Open stage to help secure an upgrade at Big South. This march to the top has cemented Ramsey's status as a must-see 2029, no matter which age group she competes with.

Add another one to the 16s fray. Premier Nebraska 16 Black's qualifier journey tested the team's resilience and resolve, allowing Rands to bring her best when it matters most. That has propelled her into the Class of 2029 discussion, particularly after 16 Black's dramatic triumph at the Show Me Qualifier. Rands dishes out punishing swings on the right side and makes it easy to forget she's playing up a year. Right-side offense became a key to 16 Black's midseason ascent, but we also can't leave out Rands' contributions as a wing blocker, either. She's bringing veteran-like leadership among her older peers.

It's about time we just checked in with Premier Nebraska 15 Red. This team's steady upward trend culminated in a bid-earning breakthrough via the Great Plains Region. Late-season events highlighted 15 Red's reliable assets on the pins, and Spath led the way. Her natural athleticism has made her a multi-sport gem with Gretna High School. Spath promptly applies her vast skills to the volleyball court, where she has become 15 Red's go-to in out-of-system situations. She cuts sharp angles at the net to make the most out of tough situations. That has helped 15 Red through plenty of marathon matches this year, and we can expect a few more of those at GJNC.

We always have our eye on the next great signal-callers at [program_tooltip program_id='428743' first='VCNebraska' last='']. Stokes has proven her willingness to shoulder several different roles in a starting rotation, especially during her early days with Lincoln Southeast. However, her setting skills take precedence with 15 Elite, and it's proving to be a worthy niche for this versatile athlete. Stokes helped guide her squad's balanced offense to a Show Me title, leaving no doubt about 15 Elite's GJNC worthiness. Strong footwork and quick decision-making are always coveted traits among VCN setters, and Stokes has them mastered.

Premier Nebraska was well represented on the Great Plains Region Bid Tournament's 15s podium. So, it's no surprise that standouts like Pfannenstiel are making a big impression among the Premier 2029s. This do-everything setter has been in our coverage spotlight throughout the season, but her late surge was something to behold. 15 Black soared past regional foes to clinch a 15 National berth, and Pfannenstiel's consistent command helped engineer the effort. She has ample physicality to lock down the front row and remains a steady attacking threat on the second contact. GJNC's 15 National division will be stacked with Open-level competitors, but this 15 Black squad will embrace the challenge.

Club Legacy's top teams always know how to wield their physical edge at the net. Dahlhauser carries that niche well for 15 Alpha, and she does it in multiple phases, too. The Millard West sophomore is a ready-made M1 who can spread the offense out behind the setter. We've also seen Dahlhauser's takeover potential as a blocking anchor, closing seams quickly to get hip-to-hip with her wing defenders. It all came together for a late-season championship at the Salt Lake City Showdown, priming Dahlhauser and her team for more highlight moments in Indianapolis.

We surely couldn't pass up another chance to address Hinton's blazing start to her prep career. It launched last fall with Adams Central High School, where Hinton's 350 kills helped lift the Patriots back to their rightful place in the state tournament. Such a debut deserves a worthy encore, and that's a good way to describe Hinton's tenure with South Central NE. Her 15 Black group made major strides on the qualifier stage, culminating in a GJNC berth at the Great Plains Region Bid Tournament. Hinton's individual gains go beyond her ability to score. Her progress as a six-rotation asset and all-around leader has elevated Nebraska's next wave of small-town stars.
