How Freshman Showcase Outsides Raised Their Game

A lot of raw ability that just needs more experience to find that next level.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='918779' first='Saylor' last='Dudlar'], OLSM/Legacy</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Makes the most out of her opportunities, being able to put a good swing on an out-of-system ball. Dudlar sees the court well and has a consistent approach in her attacks.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='858244' first='Cornelia' last='Friedrich'], DCD/Michigan Elite</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Good athleticism that should lead to more opportunities to shine in the future. She shows a lot of good fundamentals with plenty of room to grow as an overall prospect.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='849580' first='Jordyn' last='Holly'], Plymouth/Michigan Elite</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A swing that just keeps getting stronger and stronger, Holly plays with a lot of confidence and could be in store for a breakout fall.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='781087' first='Jacqueline' last='James'], DCD/Michigan Elite</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>James has a very athletic finish on her swing. She can really turn on the ball in the blink of an eye. As she keeps adding to the speed of her play, she could become a dominant finisher.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='776808' first='Brynn' last='Johnson'], Marshall/FaR Out</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Already one of the nation's best in the Class, Johnson was as impactful a freshman as you could find. She's doesn't seem to have a ceiling she can hit. Enjoy the show for these next three years.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='780462' first='Jordyn' last='Kern'], South Lyon/L2</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kern can cover a lot of space at the net, as she plays really long and is very athletic. She can be a bright prospect as she keeps sharpening the little things in her game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='782541' first='Sophie' last='Kommer'], OLSM/High Performance</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kommer has a smooth swing that can generate a lot of power when she gets an open look. She makes good adjustments at the net as well to fool a defense when a big swing isn't available.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='775991' first='Sydney' last='Manning'], BC Lakeview/FaR Out</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Another very productive player as a freshman, Manning plays with a lot of maturity and energy. She can get on a roll quickly and is tough to slow down with her ability to place the ball around the floor.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='779874' first='Sienna' last='Moeke'], TC Central/Northshore</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Moeke gets steady pop on her attacks and puts a lot of energy into her follow through. There's room to improve timing and tempo, but the power game is already there.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='776389' first='Taylor' last='Rivers'], Marian/Michigan Elite</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>At a strong program like Marian, Rivers will get a lot of good coaching and opportunities to tap into her potential. There's clearly a lot of athleticism in her game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='849862' first='Claire' last='Ryan'], New Boston Huron/Michigan Elite</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Ryan was another strong player in 2025, Ryan is an explosive athlete that uses her gifts to her advantage at the net. She won't back down from a big block and can power right through it.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='849705' first='Sloan' last='Sood'], Mercy/Michigan Elite</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Sood quietly makes a big impact on the court with her defensive play and athletic swing. She can be a bit unassuming, but when she unleashes on the ball, it's an impressive sight.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='776427' first='Natalia' last='Zywicki'], Marian/Michigan Elite</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Zywicki really makes herself big and long at the net. She high points the ball well and has a clean approach in her swing. There's not much wasted movement when she's on the attack.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
