For the final in this series, we head to Section 8, where small town volleyball in northwestern and west central Minnesota continues to produce some outstanding players. The scrappy libero works hard and competes hard for each and every ball. Last season, she finished with 308 digs and 42 aces, using her athleticism and instincts to be a reliable presence in the backrow. Last season, she tallied the stat sheet with 400 assists, 231 digs, 100 kills, and 27 blocks which showcases just how much she impacts the game in every aspect. With another year of development under her belt, Iverson will once again be counted on to lead this team. She sees the court well and makes smart decisions. Thanks to her speed, strength, and overall athleticism, she seems to get to everything and has the ability to turn difficult plays into scoring opportunities. As a freshman last season, she made a big impact as she recorded 241 kills, 54 digs, and 24 blocks. Playing as a 6 rotation outside, Syverson isn't afraid to take big swings from the pin. She also puts pressure on opponents with a tough serve. Her versatile play earned her All Conference honors after she totaled 395 assists, 160 digs, and 68 kills as a junior. As she enters her senior season, Lake of the Woods will lean heavily on her. Her impressive play helped lead the squad to a 29-2 record as they chased what would have been the program's first trip to state. With another year of experience and leadership from Lawrence, the hopes are high that this talented group can finally break through and earn the school's first ever state trip to the 1A tournament.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
