Another day of lots of volleyball in Indianapolis. Going into day 2 of pool play at the 2026 Girls Junior National Championships, teams have settled in and found their rhythm for this weekend. Once again I will be shouting out players that stood out during play today. Not to worry, there is still lots to see, so stick around all weekend for updates on who got it done. Texas, here's players making a statement in 15u divisions.

She has fast hands and is quick to move to the ball to get her hands up. Her transition footwork on the court is an obvious sign of her dedicated training and attention to detail. She reads the play, reacts, and moves the ball across the net to keep all of her hitters engaged. In chaos or out of system plays, Iliana succeeds in the hard job of being able to push the ball to the pins so hitters remain in good scoring position. A setter like this is a no brainer at the national level.

[player_tooltip player_id='846699' first='Harper' last='Simpson'], middle blocker for Skyline 15 Black, plays are strong and patient game at the net. Her play shows just how confident she is on the floor, with a strong swing and high IQ when attacking the ball. She also delivers a mean serve down the line, throwing off opponents and keeping her team ahead before she steps off. Her ability to swing from anywhere and intentionally place the ball to score, is a big factor for her teams offense. Her setters trust her and she wants the ball, a great recipe for wins.

Sutton Tessier, setting queen for [program_tooltip program_id='462263' first='TAV' last='Houston'] 15 Black. Setting for 6 rotations is no small feat, and Sutton does it gracefully. She runs a quick tempo off a jump set, leading her hitters into an aggressive attack. Keeping that same energy from the front row, teams need to know where she is, or her set dump will put teams away. Sutton is aggressive, quick and mindful of her opponents, making her a valuable resource to her team, and a major threat to defenses across the net.
