Ranking Debuts: High Level Players on Our Radar

The incredible thing is that some are new not only to the rankings, but newer to Prep Dig as well. These players have popped up recently after strong showings on the tournament circuit over the past few months, and each one has started to show real potential. She reads the floor well and does a nice job getting her feet to the ball, which allows her to consistently place balls in the best location for her attackers. Because she also sees and reads well, she knows where the open spots are on the court and where to dump the ball. Utecht is also a solid attacker. With Kairos' track record of developing high level talent, it's no surprise to see another standout in the mix. Gorden is a right side hitter with a heavy arm and a strong presence at the net, which has made her a go to player for her team. She consistently produces on offense and does a great job slowing down opponents with her blocking. She's steady in serve receive, allowing her team to stay in system and run their offense. However, it is her defense that really stands out. Lee does a great job reading hitters, staying low, and putting herself in position to come up with big digs and impressive saves. She seems to be everywhere on the court and for making momentum changing plays when her team needs them most. She's still scratching the surface of what she can become, which makes her an exciting player to follow. I saw her play on the outside during the high school season, but most of what I've seen from her this club season has been in the middle, and it's been fun watching her settle into that role and continue to grow. She moves really well, gets off the floor quickly, and has a nice powerful swing. It doesn't matter if the set is perfect or if she's attacking from an awkward spot, she just seems to always find a way to finish the play. Playing up an age level with [program_tooltip program_id='429186' first='Kandi' last='Elite'] 16-1s, Lieser is a attacker that has held her own and then some. She has good height, moves well, and gets off the floor with ease, giving her plenty of range at the net. There's a lot to like about her game right now, and the scary part is she's still developing.
