Southern Michigan’s Senior Class Standouts for 2026

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Though the 2026 prep season is still a few months off, we can see that the senior classes for 2026 are going to be robust and extremely talented.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We've look at some of the top senior classes for Oakland County, the Grand Rapids Area, and Eastern Michigan. This time, we're diving in to some of the great senior groups you will see in Southern Michigan.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Divine Child</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Falcons are battle-tested and will have plenty of experience to work with in 2026. That will be led by three seniors that had All-Region honors in 2025 in outside <strong>Ayla Szokola</strong>, middle <strong>Kaitlyn Hansen</strong> and libero <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='915895' first='Isabella' last='Albano']</strong>. If that wasn't enough, Divine Child also has plenty of senior depth with <strong>Sloane Ringwelski</strong>, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='827850' first='Sophia' last='Walker']</strong>, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='833842' first='Katie' last='Nuttmann']</strong>, <strong>Eliza Szczypka-Klein</strong>, and <strong>Amelia Mastrogiacomo</strong>. This team is going to be hard to rattle.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Eaton Rapids</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Greyhounds should feel really good about their senior class for 2026. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='534475' first='Elle' last='Lorente'] </strong>is an explosive outside that can really put the ball away, and she will have setter <strong>Avah Vozar </strong>back running the offense as a senior. Vozar is also a great defensive asset, joined by senior <strong>Abi Pratt</strong> provides defensive depth, while <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='811001' first='Anna' last='Steffen']</strong> is a returning middle that can make a big impact.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Flat Rock</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The 2026 D2 runner-up reached the finals with a roster that included 11 juniors. No team in the state is going to be able to tout the senior class that the Rams will have. Leading the way will be 2025 D2 Player of the year, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='839917' first='Sarah' last='Giroux']</strong> (Wayne State). She's one of the top outsides in the Class of 2027. She will have <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='916026' first='Lily' last='Klein']</strong> back in the middle and <strong>Reagan Higdon </strong>on the right side, providing a full set of senior attackers on the net. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='443001' first='Zoe' last='Ryan'] </strong>(Albion) is also back as a senior setter to keep this offense humming. <strong>Maelie Fricke </strong>is also back as a senior libero, while many others will return to provide depth in what should be a standout squad.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Hanover Horton</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This D3 squad could be a team to shake things up in the fall thanks to a powerful 1-2 punch returning as seniors in setter/right side <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='916051' first='Quinn' last='Knoblauch']</strong> and outside <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='291173' first='Brynn' last='DeGlee']</strong>. These two will be big offensive firepower for the Comets to utilize. <strong>Halee Krage </strong>will also provide some depth on defense as a senior.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Lansing Catholic</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Cougars have been one of the strong programs in the Lansing area and that should continue in 2026. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='826916' first='Kyra' last='Vukovic'] </strong>is a difference-making middle at 6'4” with agility. She's going to be a handful for anyone in her senior year. Defensively, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='809199' first='Sara' last='Tolfree'] </strong>is an All-Region libero that is back for her senior year, while <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='849900' first='Leighton' last='Marlan'] </strong>and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='836328' first='Morgan' last='Nichols']</strong> will be seniors that can help this offense keep rolling.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Lenawee Christian</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A D4 power, this program from Adrian is going to have one of the top setters in the division in senior <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='916067' first='Brynn' last='Davis']</strong>. She will get the best out of this offense, especially fellow senior, middle <strong>Ava Feick</strong>. The Cougars will also get key contributions from seniors <strong>Hannah Holloway</strong>, <strong>Gigi Masters</strong>, and <strong>Alyssa George</strong>.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Lutheran Westland</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>While the Warriors took some losses last fall, they did so knowing their senior class in 2026 was going to be very strong. Leading the way will be outside <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='833996' first='Keira' last='Fontaine']</strong>, setter <strong>Megan Babiak, </strong>and middle <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='813221' first='Emma' last='Kolusk'] </strong>at the net. These three will make for a great lineup up front. Defensively, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='803757' first='Sophie' last='Fremder']</strong> is a proven commodity at libero. She's ready to take on the big hitters and keep this offense in-system.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Mason</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Bulldogs had a winning record in 2025 without a single senior on the roster. This year, they will return nine seniors to help them be among the best in the Lansing area. The Mason offense is going to be very tough to slow down behind setter <strong>Jackie Hebert</strong>, outside <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='832663' first='Harper' last='Morgan']</strong> and middle <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='814616' first='Juliette' last='Smoker']</strong>. These three have a lot of chemistry and are going to be ready to put on a show. Defensively, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='808281' first='Acelynn' last='Hensley'] </strong>and <strong>Payten Adamczyk</strong> are returning seniors in the back row to help make this team complete.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Plymouth Christian</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Eagles are always a state title threat and that will be the case again in 2026. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='523905' first='Madisyn' last='Bowman'] </strong>is a towering force at the net at 6'2” and will be able to impact every match she is in. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='523872' first='Anika' last='Jaroszewski']</strong> is a returning setter that is also an elite defender, which only complements fellow senior <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='442981' first='Grace' last='Belanger']</strong> in the back row at libero. <strong>Katelyn Hock </strong>will provide some added power on offense, while <strong>Gracyn Campbell</strong> provides depth on defense.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Saline</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Hornets are a team that can compete with the best in Division 1 each year. This year's senior class should see to it that that is the case again. Saline will have key offensive pieces in the senior class in <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='454364' first='Maiya' last='Heinemann']</strong>, <strong>Akyla Marshall</strong>, and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='807791' first='Meaghan' last='Sullivan']</strong>. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='454362' first='Karlie' last='Smith'] </strong>also returns as a senior at setter, which should keep the chemistry high with this attack. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='793633' first='Ellie' last='Greener'] </strong>is also back as a key defensive talent, which gives this team a lot of experience and leadership around the floor.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
