A Shift in Coverage Going Forward

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Tomorrow's showcase finale will mark the end of an era for me, as it will be the final article where I spend time covering Kansas athletes.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Going forward, my coverage will focus exclusively on Missouri. Unfortunately, that also means stepping away from coverage of the Kansas side of the Kansas City metro. Because of that, some of the things I've enjoyed doing each season will also come to an end, including the KC Metro Power 15, which featured athletes from both sides of the state line and my Prep Dig All-KC Metro Team at the conclusion of the high school season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It's unfortunate because anyone who follows my work knows I've always viewed the Kansas City volleyball community as one volleyball community, regardless of which side of State Line Road a player calls home. But with the recent shift in some structural ideas, it makes the most sense for me to focus my time and energy on Missouri moving forward. My colleague, Austin Kingsley, who you've seen this year deliver some Kansas content, can be your contact point moving forward!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I especially want to thank the Kansas coaches, club directors, parents, players and others who have supported me over the years. You've sent me stats, commitments, schedules and countless other pieces of information that helped me tell the stories of Kansas volleyball. More importantly, you've read, shared and supported the coverage. This was my second go-around jumping in to help with Kansas, and it's been a treat</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I've appreciated the trust you've given me to tell those stories and highlight athletes who deserve to be seen.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>So tomorrow, I'll enjoy one final article with an eye on the Kansas talent in the gym and give those athletes the coverage they deserve.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>After that, my focus shifts to Missouri.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I, of course, will keep following and seeing many of you athletes on the club circuit when I'm officiating!
