It is given to the player who raises the standard of the room and that is exactly what Hayven did at the Dallas showcase on July 19th at Courtside Sports Center. The 5'7" outside hitter from Royse City brought an energy and a willingness to compete that was visible from the first point of the day and the court coaches and scouts on the floor noticed it consistently throughout every segment of the event. She communicated, she led, she worked, and she did all of it with the kind of genuine sportsmanship that makes everyone around her want to compete at the same level. At 5'7" in the class of 2030, her game is still developing, but the character she showed on July 19th is the foundation that everything else gets built on top of. I was put on notice about her earlier this year at the Sunshine Classic National Qualifier Showcase because of her performance there, but she proved in this showcase that it was not a fluke.  This young lady is the real deal.  Not only is she a super explosive player with her skill set, but she is a phenomenal teammate and is very coachable.  We are very high on her and her ceiling to keep improving.  I strongly suggest every college coach starts to notice her already.
