Miss Bassett has both. She possesses the skill set to stand out on the court, and when you combine that with her leadership and work ethic, she becomes impossible to overlook.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"style":{"typography":{"textAlign":"left"}}} --> <p class="has-text-align-left">The event started off the way most do—players getting comfortable with new teammates and settling into the gym. Gabby, however, wasted no time. She was never quiet, hesitant, or lacking confidence. From the first whistle she brought energy, communicated constantly, embraced every opportunity to play, and looked comfortable in just about every position she stepped into. She never wanted to come off the floor and was always encouraging the players around her.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"style":{"typography":{"textAlign":"left"}}} --> <p class="has-text-align-left">Her play speaks for itself. She is calm and composed in serve receive, yet fast and aggressive defensively, making the game look slow with her natural ability to read hitters before the ball is even attacked. Even after a grueling two-hour training session, she was still competing with the same intensity she showed on the very first rep. One of my favorite moments came when she absolutely CRUSHED a two-ball straight down the middle that nobody even got a hand on—a perfect example of her athleticism and competitive mindset.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"style":{"typography":{"textAlign":"left"}}} --> <p class="has-text-align-left">Selecting Miss Bassett as the Avoli Committed Athlete of the 2026 Stock Up Showcase was an easy decision. This rising sophomore has all the tools to make a major impact, and any high school, club, or college coach would be thrilled to have her in their gym.
