Colorado High Flyers: Class of 2028

Some players simply have a knack for changing the momentum of a match.   Whether it's a huge swing, a well-timed block, a clutch defensive play, or a smart decision in transition, these athletes seem to find ways to make an impact. Colorado's Class of 2028 is loaded with competitors who can influence the game in multiple phases, and this week's group continues to do exactly that.   Let's take a look!    Lynott brings a unique challenge to opposing defenses as a left-handed pin with a quick tempo and a heavy arm. She attacks the deep corners with confidence and does a nice job keeping blockers guessing. Furthermore, she competes just as hard at the net, reading hitters well and taking pride in her blocking. Her game doesn't stop there, though. Lynott is reliable in serve receive, stays engaged defensively, and makes quality first contact look routine. She is simply a complete volleyball player.     Caines plays with confidence every time she steps into an approach. She gets off the floor well, attacks with intent, and isn't afraid to challenge a block. Moreover, she has a smooth rhythm that allows her to stay effective whether the offense is in system or scrambling. Her willingness to keep swinging and compete for every point makes her an exciting hitter to follow.     Pears is a force on the right side. She combines size, athleticism, and quick reactions to create problems both offensively and at the net. When she gets a clean look, she elevates well and attacks with authority, making open nets a dangerous place for opponents. Additionally, she competes hard on every point, whether she is taking a swing, closing a block, or transitioning into the next play. Pears continues to prove why she is one of Colorado's top young right-side hitters.     Pitts covers an impressive amount of ground for a middle. She moves efficiently from pin to pin, closes quickly on blocks, and does a great job getting above the net, especially when running the slide. Furthermore, her movement creates opportunities for those around her by forcing blockers to respect her offensive presence. Pitts continues to show why athletic middles are such valuable pieces in today's game.     Jones brings power every time she attacks. Her arm is quick, heavy, and difficult to slow down, even against well-formed blocks. Defensively, she is just as imposing. She takes away space at the net, presses well over the tape, and challenges hitters to find another option. Jones plays with confidence, embraces physical volleyball, and continues to be one of the more imposing middles in the Class of 2028.     DeLeon has a knack for making difficult swings look comfortable. She adjusts well to imperfect sets, stays composed when the rally gets chaotic, and finds creative ways to score without forcing the ball. Additionally, she sees the court well and understands how to work around a defense instead of attacking directly into it. As her game continues to evolve, DeLeon has all the tools to become an even more dangerous six-rotation pin.    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Closing Thoughts</h2>   Colorado's Class of 2028 continues to impress on the pins and at the net.
