Colorado High Flyers: Class of 2029, Part 2

For the first time, we're bringing some of the boys into the mix, too! These athletes all bring their own style to the court, but they have one thing in common. She brings plenty of bounce to the front row and has the reach to contact the ball high above the block. More often than not, she finds a way to get over the hands and put pressure on the defense. However, it's not just about swinging hard. Evans shows smart shot selection and does a nice job recognizing when to attack with power and when to find open space. As an OH/RS, he stays active in transition and gets off the net quickly so he's ready when his opportunity comes. Defensively, he is always thinking about his next job. He works to play off the blocker and stays ready to make a play in the back row. When it's time to attack, Puschaver brings a heavy arm that can make life difficult for defenders. She has the arm speed to attack quickly, and that swing continues to get more dangerous as she develops. Additionally, she isn't limited to one spot offensively. Give her an opportunity, and she can find a way to put pressure on the defense. He is always ready to dig, chase, and keep the rally alive, which gives his team another opportunity to score. That defensive confidence also carries over when he moves into attack. Because Lucero is comfortable reading the court and adjusting on defense, he can use that same awareness when swinging. He does a nice job keeping defenders guessing, making it harder to predict where his attack is going. His ability to pair defensive instincts with an unpredictable swing gives him a unique edge. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Keep Watching These High Flyers</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Evans, Puschaver, Mackintosh, and Lucero are all bringing something different to the court.
