Dallas Stock Up Showcase Players to Watch Vol 4

Prep Dig Texas Showcases are back! This Sunday we have three big events that will be held at the Courtside Sports Center on July 19th. We have the Stock Up showcase for grad classes 2027 and 2028, the Sophomore ID for the 2029 grad class, and the Freshman showcase for the 2030 grad class. These events bring together athletes from across the state looking to compete in front of college coaches while being evaluated by Prep Dig scouts and court coaches. Showcases like this continue to provide a valuable platform for athletes to be seen, tested, and recognized for their individual performance and intangibles. Let's take a closer look at three players who everyone should be watching at the Stock Up showcase.    Samarah is 5'3" in the class of 2028, which means her game at the setter position is going to be defined entirely by speed, footwork, and decision-making rather than physical length and the showcase will reveal just how special her skills are. Setting at 5'3" requires a player to be early to every ball, precise in every release, and smart enough to use tempo and deception in place of the height advantage that taller setters carry. College coaches evaluating her on July 19th should be watching how quickly she processes the floor in front of her, whether her sets have consistent shape and location across multiple hitters, and how her energy level holds up from the first drill segment to the final scrimmage. She is the underdog profile that scouts who really know the position enjoy watching.     Miss Rogers is a 6'2" sophomore middle hitter at Canton who has been on varsity for a few years, which tells you the coaching staff there trusts her in a lineup that has produced all-state caliber talent at multiple positions in recent years. At her height in the class of 2028, the development runway ahead of her is as compelling as anything she puts on the floor right now. The showcase at Courtside Sports Center is a chance for college coaches across the Metroplex to see her in a setting outside of Texas district play and the things they should be evaluating are her footwork getting to the ball, the shape of her swing, and how quickly her first step off the net fires in transition. We will have our eyes glued to her production and can't wait to see how she fares against the top competition.     [player_tooltip player_id='1005957' first='Brady' last='Clark'] is 6'2" in the class of 2028 and that profile at S&S Consolidated in Sadler is exactly the kind of prospect that gets lost in the shuffle without a showcase like this one to put her in front of a broader audience. S&S is a smaller classification program, which means she has been producing in an environment where her individual tools are on full display without the depth of a large roster around her. The attributes to track on July 19th are what you would want to see from any middle blocker at this height and class: closing speed at the block, athleticism in transition out of the net, and whether her swing is developing the efficiency that translates at the next level. A 6'2" middle in the 2028 class from a smaller Texas school is precisely the kind of prospect a showcase like the Dallas Stock Up was built to surface, and college coaches who show up on July 19th will be glad they did.
