Determined Defenders at the Stock Up Showcase

This group of defenders was highly competitive at the Washington Stick Up Showcase, all while supporting one another and their teammates. Each had similar and different strengths that complemented the players around them. Most importantly, this group worked hard to give their attackers hittable balls and set them up for kills.    Robbins had an outstanding season with her Blue Royals team, culminating in an appearance at USAV Nationals in Indianapolis. Coaches at the Showcase were impressed with the future Lake Stevens players' angles and passing performance in serve receive. Robbins understands the tilt she needs on her platform when she handles serves outside her body- sending the ball forward rather than straight up or behind her. She earned a Top Performer award for her efforts at the Showcase. .   <figure class="wp-block-image size-large is-resized"><img src="https://prepdig.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/2026/07/PDS-Up26-TP-Finley-Robbins.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-1012610" style="width:223px;height:auto" /></figure>     Fisher has a serve that she hits hard and flat, just above the tape of the net. It caused problems for the opposing passers and had the team out of system during the six-on-six portion of the Showcase. The 2029 DS/L from Curtis High School and PSVBA is sound in her skills; she gets her hands away from her body when she passes and was confidently setting the second contact when she needed to step in.     Coaches let us know that Lea was "scrappy and engaged" when we asked for feedback at the Showcase. The 2029 from Eisenhower High School in Yakima plays with strong hands and hustles to cover every attack from her hitters. Lea stays disciplined in her positioning, both in where she needs to be on the court and in her athletic stance. She can pick up balls just before they hit the floor to keep her team in the rally.     Goodloe has an easy confidence and terrific court positioning. The Bnney Lake prospect played with a smile and, while keeping it fun, competed hard. She can move quickly, play fast, and read and react to what she sees from the setter and attackers in front of her.     Tran is a physically solid player, and the coaches appreciated the 2029 prospect's ability to cushion a hard swing or fast-paced serve. The 2029 prospect from Woodinville High School wasn't afraid to get on the ground and just kept working with intensity throughout every drill and competitive session at the Showcase     Orozco gets a solid read on attackers- and she is rarely out of position or off balance. With her feet set, the Emerald Ridge 2029 prospect can dig up hard shots- she feels the instant just before a hitter makes contact, gets herself stopped and on balance, and then can make a play from there. Orozco is a player to watch in the future with her Emerald Ridge team.
