We just finished up our preseason position poll regarding those awesome Pin Hitters. Voters had the opportunity to either vote for someone who is on the list already or input their own vote. When the dust settled there were five players with the most votes. We asked each one of them a few questions so that we may get to know them a little bit better. We asked these three questions. Why is a Pin Hitter so important? What is 1 goal of yours this season? and 1 shoutout to a coach or teammate.

Why is being a pin so important?
Being a pin is important because you're expected to do a little bit of everything. You're a key part of the offense, but you also have to play defense, pass consistently, and be reliable in every rotation. It's a position that requires versatility and the ability to step up in big moments.

What is 1 goal of yours this season?
One of my biggest goals this season is to help lead my team as far as we can go while continuing to grow as a player and teammate.

1 shoutout to a coach or teammate.
I'd like to give a shoutout to Coach Kannett. She always shows up with a positive attitude and the right mindset, no matter the situation. She pushes us to be our best every day while believing in us, and I'm so thankful for everything she does for our team.

Being a pin hitter is so important because many of the sets are coming to you. You have to be reliable and your setter has to trust you especially in high pressure situations.

Increase point efficiency on out of system.
3. I would like to shout out James Ward and Bryan Mosley for my technique and always making time for me to get in the gym during season and off season.

Being a pin to me is very important because we are one of the main attackers and I think it helps develop a lot of discipline and responsibility especially going all around and being able to support the team in many different ways.

One of my main goals is to win state!

I want to give a huge shout out to Coach Kane for being such an amazing coach and always helping me through everything whether it's about volleyball or just life in general. I am so grateful to have a coach who will always believe in me, show support, and encourage me in every way.

Being a pin is so important because when there isn't a perfect pass to give a perfect set we're the ones who learn to work with those sets, so we can still score or either get the other team out of system.

One goal for me this season is the mental part of things. I want to be sure my teammates know they are being supported and knowing people have their backs after mistakes, bad games, and even good games.

One coach I want to shoutout is Coach Will Ethridge. He definitely developed me into the player I am today and gave me a lot of IQ to the game, that I have definitely taken with me throughout the years since he has coached me.

I think being a pin is important because you effect your team a lot and being a pin that produces offense is a really big part of having a successful team and being able to score when your other hitters can't also makes a big difference between yourself and others.

One goal of mine this season is to help my team win state this year and making a difference on the court.

A shoutout to a coach would be to tanna smith she has been my coach for club for 2 years and has taught me a lot that i know about this sport and has encouraged me when im struggling or having a hard game.
