Indiana Small School Preview: Players To Watch, Part 1

We've got nearly 60 athletes from Indiana committed to play at the next level in the class of ‘27 and already have 8 athletes from the class of ‘28 committed to play in college. However, school starts here in the Hoosier State in about a month, which means open gyms are in full swing. Following a 24-10 ‘25 campaign a year ago, look for Sami to control the offense and be a thorn in the sides of defenses up and down their schedule. I like her location and ability to get to nearly every ball passed her way, turning out-of-system passes into in-system sets with ease. I like the energy, relentless transition and ability to power through blocks bigger and stronger than she. Already seeing a ton of playing time on PHP's 16s team this spring, Emily can play middle or right side in a pinch for any next-level program. I like her relentlessness—-she uses power, speed, and an attack that rivals a lot of other players in 1A, and should be one of the top players returning to Covington's squad this coming fall. She's big, physical, heavy-armed and can play all the way around in multiple positions. Now that Trinity Lutheran is moving up to 2A, Oldenburg Academy should have a clear path in southern Indiana to FINALLY get past the sectional. The Northern Illinois commit should lead the way for OA this fall, and I'm looking forward to their high potential.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
