More Ball Control Gems Emerge in New Kansas 2028 Rankings

Sure, this group of terminators has made plenty of flashy plays and lit up the scoreboard. But the Sunflower State is also known for its ball control specialists who tie everything together on the court.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>And the Class of 2028 has a ton of those. We've already dedicated an entire feature to stock-rising setters, and we may include a few of those here, too. This club usually rallies around pinpoint passers, and Jimenez was 16 Elite's anchor. Her best asset was her first steps, particularly while leading the middle of PVA's serve-receive pattern. Deliberate movements put Jimenez in the right spots to make a play, and her quiet platform finished the job. We watched this Olathe Northwest junior grow through a bid-earning triumph at Show Me and a trek through the 16 Open crowd at USAV Nationals. Ruisinger joined Jimenez to form an impenetrable fortress along the base line. Her specialty was right-back defense, but Ruisinger was also comfortable passing any segment of the court in sideout situations. She's not solely on the court becuase of her first-touch prowess and defensive work. Ruisinger is also a natural fit to become a secondary setter when operations break down. And, like many of Dynasty's most prominent signal-callers from the past few years, Bain played up a year this spring and thrived along the way. She operates the kind of snappy, up-tempo attack we'd always expect from the Kansas City club. Bain also confounds opposing teams with her whippy attacks on the second contact, giving defenders little time to react. It's a trait that many elite liberos share, but Morrison doesn't need to generate flashy moments to be effective. This was especially true at USAV Nationals, where her stable platform and precise transition digs guided KC Power 16-1 through a stacked 16 Open gauntlet. Her club tenure with 913Athletics has also revealed a multi-talented athlete who will readily carry an attacking role to help her team succeed. It was a winning formula that helped 913Athletics 16National clinch a 16 Liberty berth, so don't lock Anderson in as a ball control specialist. She climbed the ladder in our rankings after several standout moments with Manhattan Mayhem 16P, culminating in a strong conclusion at the Show Me Qualifier.
