Georgia's Class of 2027 rankings became even more competitive with the addition of several athletes whose skill sets bring new depth to the setter, pin and middle-blocker positions.

Being added to the Top 100 does not complete an athlete's rankings story. It creates a new starting point. High-school production, positional development, increased responsibility and performance against strong competition will determine which newcomers maintain their positions—and which begin climbing.

These six athletes were among the players added during the July update, and each gives evaluators a different reason to follow her progress this season.

Gianna enters the rankings with a defined role on the right side, where her development will be measured through both attacking and blocking. Opposites must handle some of the most physically demanding matchups on the court, frequently blocking an opponent's primary outside hitter while remaining available as a transition scoring option. Gianna's continued growth in closing the block, attacking down the line and producing from imperfect sets could make her increasingly valuable to Marietta's lineup. ~ S.Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga

Toni gives the class another experienced pin capable of contributing from more than one attacking position. At 5-foot-10, she competes for Westminster and A5 and has committed to Brown, an achievement that reflects the strength of her complete student-athlete profile. Her versatility should give Westminster options in how she is used, while her ability to contribute through attacking, blocking and six-rotation responsibilities will make her an important player to track throughout the season. ~ S.Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga

Jia enters the rankings at a position where progress is often visible through the players surrounding her. Setters are responsible for more than clean hand contact; they must create rhythm, maintain location from imperfect passes and understand when to accelerate or settle the offense. Jia's high-level club experience gives her repeated opportunities to make decisions against strong competition, and her command, communication and defensive involvement will be important areas to follow as her role continues expanding. ~ S.Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga

Isabella's ability to contribute as both a right side and middle blocker gives her one of the more flexible front-row profiles among the newest additions. At 6-foot-1, she can be used in different blocking matchups and offensive patterns, allowing her team to adjust without losing size at the net. Continued development in transition speed, attacking range and reading hitters could help Isabella turn positional flexibility into a major rankings advantage. ~ S.Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga

Ayele adds another developing middle to a class becoming increasingly deep at the position. The 6-foot-1 Westminster and A5 athlete has experience competing in high-level club environments, where middles must process the setter, move laterally and transition quickly enough to remain available in the offense. Her progress will depend on making those responsibilities repeatable, but her addition gives evaluators another athletic front-row player to monitor as the high-school season unfolds. ~ S.Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga

Gianna, Toni, Cora, Jia, Isabella and Ayele enter the rankings with different positional identities, but all six now face the same opportunity: turning recognition into continued momentum.

The upcoming high-school season will reveal how each athlete handles a larger role, adapts to opponents and applies the development built throughout club season. Some may establish themselves as reliable varsity anchors. Others could add new dimensions to their games and begin challenging athletes currently positioned above them.
