PD Kentucky Stock Up Showcase: What DS Prospects Are Going?

One thing we take for granted in Indiana is the sheer number of defensive specialists and liberi available for recruiting. Kentucky, having a smaller number of volleyball players, doesn't carry as many DS's and libs as one would think. I even got a chance to see her play a little front row, probably out of necessity, and she was fearless going against the bigs in match play. Adept as both a three-rotation DS or a libero for the next level, the ground she covers to stay on her feet and consistently make a settable pass happen is something Vivienne can hang her hat on when recruiters come calling—-sooner rather than later. That length of hers is key—-she can take less strides by using that length to stay on her feet and pass consistently to target. At Mercy, she's accustomed to playing a tough schedule that competes with the top programs in the state, so the training regimen is already ingrained into her volleyball DNA. The training is there, the size is extra, and her play is solid. Maximizing that range, along with active feet and constant communication, are innate traits Miss Nasca has in her volleyball persona. Being a Sacred Heart product, as well as training at KiVA, leads me to believe that she's more than capable of handling the training load of a solid collegiate season, without complaint or letup.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
