The Next Wave Is Here: MB's Adding Depth to 2029's Rankings

One of the biggest storylines in Georgia's latest Class of 2029 rankings isn't just the movement at the top—it's the emergence of a new generation of middle blockers. As more young athletes continue to develop physically and gain experience against high-level competition, the position has quickly become one of the deepest groups in the class.   This newest rankings update introduces six middle blockers making their Top 100 debut. While each arrives with a different path, they all have an opportunity to become impact players as they begin their high school careers.      Samus enters the rankings inside the Top 25 after competing in one of Georgia's strongest club environments. Playing alongside high-level talent has helped prepare her for the speed and physicality required from today's middle blockers. She has the opportunity to continue developing into a front-row presence capable of influencing matches through disciplined blocking, quick offensive transitions and consistent communication. As her game matures, Samus has the tools to become an important piece of Georgia's growing 2029 class. ~ Samantha Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga     Shiloh joins the rankings immediately behind her A5 teammate, giving the class another promising front-row prospect to watch. Middle blockers often separate themselves through their movement between plays as much as their production, and continued experience should only strengthen that aspect of her game. The transition into varsity volleyball will provide valuable opportunities to expand her offensive role while continuing to develop her presence at the net. Competing every day in that environment demands consistency, communication and the ability to contribute in every phase of front-row play. With steady growth, Kendall has the potential to continue climbing as the class evolves. ~ Samantha Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga     Reagen gives A5 West another representative among Georgia's newest ranked middle blockers. Her addition reflects the continued development taking place throughout one of the state's strongest club programs and adds another intriguing athlete to an increasingly competitive position group. As she gains more varsity repetitions, she'll have opportunities to expand her impact both offensively and defensively. The foundation is in place for Reagen to become another name coaches continue tracking over the coming seasons. ~ Samantha Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga     Ebie enters the rankings after establishing herself as another promising front-row prospect from M2. Middle blockers often make some of their biggest strides once they begin facing stronger varsity competition, and this season should provide valuable opportunities for continued growth. Her ability to remain engaged throughout every rally while continuing to refine her timing will be important as her game develops. Ebie's debut adds another quality athlete to an increasingly deep middle blocker board. ~ Samantha Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga     Edy rounds out this group as another new addition capable of making steady progress throughout the coming year. Every rankings cycle introduces athletes whose development accelerates once they gain additional experience, and middle blockers are often among the biggest movers. As Edy continues building confidence and consistency, she has an opportunity to establish herself as another dependable front-row contributor. The addition of Samus, Shiloh, Kendall, Reagen, Ebie and Edy gives the rankings another wave of developing front-row talent with significant room to grow over the next several seasons.   As these athletes transition into larger high school roles, expect the competition among Georgia's young middles to become even more competitive.
