Top Performers and Front Row Talent at Illinois Freshman Showcase

These front row players are a mix of standout talent I saw at the Illinois Freshman Showcase and some Top Performers who were chosen at the event. All were phenomenal to watch play. This 2030 Class was impressive and can't wait to see how they do in their Freshman Seasons. I predict some of these girls will play on their Varsity squads for sure this year in high school.    This girl can straight out play! If I had to pick someone from the Freshman Showcase who I knew was going to give me her all, compete, get me points at the net, and help me win, I'd choose Vanosky. She was all business and can hurt you with her swings and kills. Watched her hit one so hard she gave a defender a head shot. Hits hard, can tell is just a strong girl. Can swing anywhere on the court. Put her in the lineup and watch her work.     Watched Hazel get some big big hits. She has a really good vertical and explodes when she swings. Watched her get some nice kills. She competes at a high level as well, she was playing on a very competitive court and was still successful. Fun player to watch play, looks confident and sure of her skills, keep an eye on Hazel.     Kyler was a smart player and hitter. She can bring the power but also watched her tool the block a few times as well. Very smart. She knows what she is doing at the OH spot. She isn't just up there swinging away she's making good decision. Good size, good mechanics skilled hitter. That's why she was picked as a Top Performer.     Lani can give you all the hits. She can roll shot to the corner, she can bring the power. Good size and good length and wing span poses problems for defenders at the net. Impressive to watch and watch swing. She is a force and someone to keep an eye on, was picked as a Top Performer.     I watched Fish really put down some hard kills. Good swing, ball has good velocity when she gets her set. Watched her hit the ball from the back row, front row wherever and just had the timing down. Plays confidently. Anywhere on that net she can get the job done, swing doesn't change she can hit.     I wish I had moves like Jaeger! Good jumper good vertical and knows how to swing. Really gets on top of the ball, hits a heavy ball comes at your quick. She is 5ft 5 but didn't matter on that front line. She got kills from the back row, front row wherever you set her. Great overall game I noticed as well. Passed well on serve receive defended her position. Very good volleyball player here.     Impress hitter! Watched her rack up quite a few kills at the IL freshman showcase. Athletic build who moves well, gets off the floor quick and gets kills. I was impressed with her demeanor she was a gamer, there to compete. Fun player to watch and stuck out to me during scrimmage gameplay where she was helping her squad get points from the OH position. Top Performer Pick.     Hartwell was fun to watch at the net. She was playing MB and noticed her in drills. Really good size already for a 2030 and moved well. I wrote down in my notes that she just worked hard and that alone always stands out and can get your team points. So her get touches at the net during gameplay and she hits well too. Snaps her wrist, seems to be well trained. Stuck out as one of the better Middles at the showcase. Top Performer Pick.    These 8 players were standouts at the IL Freshman Showcase. Big swingers at the net, and just made plays in the front row. I left being impressed at the talent I saw.
