When the rally keeps going, so do they.

Transition is all about staying one step ahead.

The first swing doesn't always end the point, and that's where these hitters separate themselves. They get off the net quickly, stay available for their setter, and are ready to attack again without missing a beat. Great transition players don't wait for the play to come to them. Instead, they keep moving, trust their timing, and find ways to create offense from extended rallies.

This week, we're highlighting four Class of 2027 athletes who continue to make an impact once the rally shifts.

Bailey Beh never seems to take a play off. She gets herself available quickly and stays ready for the next swing, even after playing the first ball. Furthermore, she reads the block well and adjusts her attack without forcing anything. Whether she's tooling hands, swinging deep cross, or finding an open corner, Beh makes smart decisions at full speed. Her six-rotation game only adds to her value, making her a reliable option from the first serve to the final point.

Addison Ryg does a great job creating tempo through her transition. Her quick approach allows her to get back into attacking position without losing rhythm, and she consistently arrives with the ball out in front. Additionally, she maintains a high contact point and delivers a heavy swing that puts pressure on opposing defenses. Ryg stays disciplined with her timing, allowing her to remain an offensive threat throughout long rallies.

Jordin Ziebold brings both power and vision to every attack. She transitions efficiently and is always looking to be available for her setter. Once she's in the air, her long reach and fast arm create plenty of scoring opportunities. Moreover, she does a nice job reading the block before contact, allowing her to change shots and attack open space. Her ability to produce from either pin makes her a difficult matchup throughout the match.

Emme Mordi brings a different look with her left-handed swing, and she uses it well. She moves with purpose in transition and works hard to stay involved after the first contact. Additionally, her size allows her to attack from a high point while creating problems for opposing blockers. Mordi also contributes beyond the front row, making her a versatile player who impacts multiple phases of the game.

Closing Thoughts

Great transition attackers never stop moving.

They stay engaged, trust their footwork, and make themselves available when the rally continues. That extra effort often creates the biggest swings of the match, and this group continues to show exactly why transition offense matters.

Be sure to follow @prepdigcolorado for more Colorado volleyball coverage, player features, recruiting content, and the next edition of Transition Attack Thursday!
