Colorado's class of 2028 features a talented group of liberos who are beginning to separate themselves with their defensive ability, ball control, and court presence.   These athletes consistently impact the game from the back row while bringing the communication and leadership needed to anchor their teams.   As they continue to develop and gain exposure, these are some of the 2028 liberos you'll be hearing a lot more about.    Alejandra Hernandez provides excellent ball control and serves as an anchor for her team's back row. What separates Hernandez is her ability to impact the game beyond serve receive and defense, making her a versatile presence at the libero position. She is a threat from the service line with a tough, aggressive serve and consistently delivers quality sets to her hitters in out of system situations. Her ability to contribute in multiple areas makes Hernandez a valuable piece of her team's success.     Sofia Posada stands out as a quick defender who consistently reads the court at a high level, allowing her to put herself in the right position to make tough defensive plays. Posada combines strong defensive instincts with solid ball control in serve receive, making her a reliable presence in the back row. What truly sets her apart, however, is her leadership and energy on the court. She is constantly communicating, encouraging her teammates, and bringing the type of presence that elevates the players around her.     McKylee Pebley is a quick, athletic defender who excels both on the court and in the sand. Her training in beach volleyball has translated well to the indoor game, helping her become faster on her feet, more instinctive, and confident in her defensive reads. Pebley has shown steady improvement over the last several seasons and continues to develop into a reliable back row presence. With her growth and versatility, she is poised to make a major impact during the upcoming high school season.     Ava Leininger is a steady defensive presence who excels at picking up hard driven attacks. She brings a calm, composed presence to the court, and the players around her trust both her communication and relentless effort. Leininger reads opposing hitters exceptionally well, consistently putting herself in the right position to make difficult digs and keep plays alive. She is coming off a successful club season and is expected to make a major impact this fall.     Caliah Stack is a relentless defender in the class of 2028 who brings energy and consistency to the back row. Stack demands the ball and commands the court, providing solid ball control in serve receive that allows her hitters to transition freely into the offense. She is quick on her feet, reads the game well, and excels at picking up tips and pursuing tough balls outside of the court. Stack's effort and willingness to chase down every ball make her a valuable defensive presence.
