2028 Rankings Update: Top Setters

She's committed to LSU.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='644142' first='Ava' last='Kiernan'], South Lyon East/Michigan Elite: </strong>A UCF commit, the 6'2” Kiernan has a lot of great intangibles that others can't match. Her length and footwork allow her to play a very fast pace and get great finishing rates out of her hitters.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='526553' first='Liv' last='Wender'], Grand Rapids Catholic Central/Legacy: </strong>It's been a big 2026 for Wender so far and she gets back into high school play after having to sit last fall out. She's got a limitless potential in her play. Her athleticism and touch are at an elite level. Wender is committed to West Virginia.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='850734' first='Kyla' last='Kuiper'], Zeeland East/FaR Out: </strong>A Boston College commit, Kuiper has continued to raise her play each season and it should continue these next two years. She's got great court vision and brings the best out of her teammates.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='664290' first='Heidi' last='White'], East Grand Rapids/MVA: </strong>White is consistent with her great touch and location. At 6'0”, she's got the length that college coaches look for, but her technique and footwork only strengthen her cause to be a next-level player.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Other Setters To Watch</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1021895' first='Isabella' last='Sivuchin'], Troy Athens/Legacy: </strong>Sivuchin is a combo that uses her agility to make some impressive kills and disguise her setting decisions. She's got a chance to be a big breakout star over the next year.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='765790' first='Piper' last='Ayotte'], Skyline/Michigan Elite: </strong>Another combo player, Ayotte is really athletic and shows a lot of good explosiveness, which allows her to execute some challenging sets. She's also willing to take some chances.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='939684' first='Sofie' last='Sanders'], Hudsonville/FaR Out: </strong>Sanders has been a consistent performer for a strong offense and against consistently strong competition. She remains poised and accurate, always giving her team a chance to compete.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1021916' first='Addie' last='Carden'], Marshall: </strong>Carden has put up impressive assist numbers as a young setter and has helped develop one of the top young hitters in the state. One can't improve without the other, and Carden is finding new levels to her play.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='887818' first='Madison' last='Jewell'], GP North/Monsters: </strong>Jewell is a very determined player that puts the same effort into her defensive play that she does in her setting.
