Avoli Committed Athlete: Georgia Freshman Stock Up Showcase

She stayed involved in the rally beyond her own contact, consistently resetting into position, preparing for the next responsibility and continuing to work even when the ball was moving away from her. For an outside hitter, those habits matter. The position demands much more than producing a big swing, and Kiley showed a willingness to handle the work surrounding the attack as well. Her 5-foot-11 frame gives her a noticeable presence on the pin, but it was the way she continued moving, transitioning and staying engaged that made the physical tools more interesting.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>What stood out most was that Kiley did not appear to approach the showcase as a collection of individual opportunities to impress. She competed within the group. She stayed connected to what was happening around her, worked through unfamiliar combinations and continued showing effort from one repetition to the next. That willingness to remain engaged is exactly what events like Stock Up can reveal about a young athlete.
