Big Performances to Start the 2026 Ohio H.S. Schedule

For the Comets, they saw a balanced offensive effort as three hitters earned double figure kills. Junior <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='790608' first='Kadence' last='Gear']</strong> was terrific in the win with 16 kills to go with a match high 23 digs. Also swinging well were senior <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1017085' first='Maycee' last='Muselin'] </strong>and <strong>Kendera Appelfeller</strong> with 11 and 10 kills respectively. Appelfeller earned a triple double as she also picked up 10 digs to support her team high 22 assists. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As predicted, sophomore pin <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='722535' first='Reese' last='Redman']</strong> had a big match for the Eagles in the defeat as she opened the 2026 fall season with 20 kills on a .185 efficiency. She added 22 digs. Teammate <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='700571' first='Alaina' last='Parr']</strong> balanced that effort with a solid performance of her own. The junior outside hitter earned 16 kills and 18 digs for the double-double. Her attacking efficiency of .289 led her team as did the five services aces she also delivered. The 6'0 pin had 24 kills on a .380 efficiency while adding 13 digs. Other offensive stars included junior<strong> Rai Pierson</strong> with 14 kills as senior <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='480868' first='Finley' last='Carpenter']</strong> terminated the ball 13 times. She also had 13 digs of her own. Senior [player_tooltip player_id='809039' first='Maya' last='Soungpradith'] earned 20 digs as sophomore setter <strong>Brooklyn Hoffman</strong>, in her first significant varsity effort as their primary distributor, dished 48 assists for a 12.0 a/s average for the match.
