After all of the commitments, all of the summer camps and all of the national events during club season, we are well overdue for a rankings update. First off, we'll start with the numerous changes happening in the class of ‘27. There are, however, some things to keep in mind when reading this version of the rankings.

What do these rankings mean, exactly?

As always, this is an opinion piece, and nothing more. Your version of rankings will differ from mine, obviously. However, my version analyzes how college-ready each of these athletes are. This is NOT a measure of how “good” an athlete is, but are they ready to take on the next chapter in their respective careers? In short, we expect every kid who's committed to be ready to go to college, and those that aren't are not quite there yet. We've scoured Instagram feeds, college commitment boards and volleyball club websites to get the most accurate information to you, the consumer, as to where everyone is going and who's available after the dust has settled. There are nearly 70 athletes committed to play somewhere hailing from Indiana, so it stands to reason that there has been a ton of rankings movement since the last update.

So what comes next?

This week, you can expect separate articles covering (1) new additions to the rankings, (2) stock risers, and (3) positional breakdowns of the still-available recruits in this class. That's six articles this week, covering a minimum of 30 athletes, all from the class of 2027. We'll talk about each athlete's abilities, what got them to where they are, and what's next for each. We try to mention a different club for each athlete, so that the entirety of the state is covered well.

What if…..?

There's a lot of “what if's” in life. If this particular set of rankings isn't your cup of tea, that's ok. These are not hard-and-fast rules to live by, just a list of athletes based on our opinions of how college-ready they are. If you have information about a changed club, a commitment, or something deeper, please feel free to make the adjustment on each athlete's profile right here at PrepDig.com at your earliest convenience. It is literally impossible for me to keep up with 1000+ athletes in four different classes with 100% accuracy and any help you can give is very much appreciated.

Be nice.

In short, be nice. I will most definitely respond to those that are nice and I will definitely NOT respond to those folks with passive-aggressive comments, opinions of their own, or anything else resembling a lack of professionalism or an abundance of insults. Trust me folks, I've heard them all, and none are pleasant.

Have fun, and we'll see you on the courts.
