Five Players to Know from Division II, Class A, East Region

Harness executes a variety of short and long sets including back sets with little to no lean. Harness makes a lot of things happen out of system. She sends balls from the back row toward the net so hitters can place down balls across the net. She is not afraid of big moments. Mcgoldrick has a solid arm swing and finds different ways to hit over and around blocks. She attacks holes in double blocks and seams with precision. Kitchings puts down overpassed balls with authority. Kitchings is effective on a number of routes including ones and gap shots. Kitchings takes solid attack approaches, gets on top of balls and puts good zip into them. She does a good job keeping her arms above her waist in a sound platform to make crisp two to three-point passes. She does lean and dive, but tries to stay under control. She readjusts well on redirected balls. Lawrence squares her body up to well-struck balls and jumpstarts the offensive rhythm. Baird sends quality roll shots to the opposite side lines away from opponents. She can also go up and tip over blocks or to the shallow side lines.
