Six Players to see at Showdown at the Sunsphere

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A grand total of 84 teams primarily from Kentucky and Tennessee are descending upon the Knoxville Covention Center on Friday and Saturday as part of the two-day showcase.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Assumption comes in as the top seed after winning the event last year. The Rockets are joined by Dorman (South Carolina) and Tennessee state power Brentwood in the power pool. The second power pool pits Lovett School (Georgia), Sacred Heart and Tennessee defending Division II, Class AA state champion Briarcrest Christian with the third one having St. Henry, Mercy and defending Division I, Class AAA state champion Summit squaring off. Baldwin mixes in a variety of hard and soft shots to keep defenses guessing. Baldwin tools blocks with her quick arm swing and powers down line shots. Baldwin does not rush her shots against tough blockers. She goes up and times things right to terminate balls. Baldwin also uses her size well on blocks. These two have been in a number of them over the years and have come out on top a good bit. Lee continues to refine her ones, depositing them to different areas of the court. Lee uses her size to hit over and around blocks with her high attack point. She tools blocks and is running nice slides. She also has developed a quicker arm speed allowing her to power balls through double blocks. She runs sound slides, ones and gap shots effectively. Mark gets on top of balls and powers them down before blockers can get up. Her high vertical jump and quick arm swing also let her hit over and around blockers. She is not afraid to dive, but does so sending balls forward. She uses her great range to dig up balls. Jennings has shown she can dig up powerful crosses with a solid platform. Corum shoves balls to far side lines and far corners. When Corum has nice spacing away from the net, she sends nice off shots to the back row. Correll does a good job mixing up her hard and soft shots. She does not hesitate to tip over double blocks if defensive specialists are playing back.
