These standout athletes have established themselves as some of Missouri's finest players. With record-breaking milestones in sight and diverse playing styles, they are set to deliver thrilling performances.   Each player brings a unique energy to the court, from explosive jumpers commanding attention with powerful swings to strategic thinkers skillfully orchestrating plays. As we explore the profiles of the top returning outside and opposite hitters, it's evident that this season promises unforgettable moments and remarkable achievements, making Class 3 volleyball a must-watch in Missouri.    Eden has been making waves since her first match at Potosi, and she is on the cusp of reaching a significant milestone. With just 373 kills needed to become the school's all-time kill leader—previously set by her sister Ava at 1,788—Eden is determined to leave her mark. Already a state champion, she aims to lead her team back to the Final Four in her senior season. Last year, Eden topped the Class 3 kill charts with an impressive total of 652 kills, placing her among Missouri's top five in kills overall. With improvements in her passing and defensive skills, she is also on track to achieve 1,000 career digs, making her a well-rounded threat on the court.     At 5'7", Maggie may not intimidate opponents from the sidelines, but her performance on the court quickly changes that perception. Despite being undersized as an outside hitter, she possesses incredible athleticism and a fierce competitive spirit. Her agility and vertical leap—certainly in the 30-inch range—allow her to soar above the net and deliver powerful swings. Having showcased her talent during club season, she has the potential to accumulate over 1,000 career kills and digs. As a Truman State commit, Maggie is set to continue her impressive journey in volleyball at the collegiate level.     Ziah played a pivotal role in leading Mt. Vernon to the Class 3 title match last year, earning a runner-up finish that showcased her immense talent. As a coach's kid, she has honed her skills to excel in multiple facets of the game. With a remarkable 1,167 career kills, 1,126 career assists, and 643 digs, Ziah epitomizes versatility. The returning talent on her team gives Mt. Vernon a strong chance to make another deep postseason run, and Ziah will undoubtedly be at the forefront of those efforts.     After an impressive third-place finish last season, Eva has emerged as a cornerstone of the Oak Grove program. As a four-year starter, she has amassed 687 career kills and 379 digs, demonstrating her consistency and leadership on the court. A quieter leader, Eva lets her performance speak volumes, but she is expected to take on a more vocal role in her final season. With a talented and youthful roster around her, she is poised to elevate her team's performance and guide them to new heights.     Standing at 6'2", Olivia has quickly established herself as a formidable opposite hitter. Her recent performance for Pursuit in club has prepared her well for the high school stage, where she aims to apply her skills, whether playing opposite, middle, or even left pin. Her versatility allows her to be repositioned to exploit her height and wingspan for defensive strategies against opposing hitters. With just 93 kills needed to reach the 500 career milestone, Olivia is on the brink of a significant achievement.     Primarily playing middle for the Cubs, Peyton also showcases her outside hitting skills with Alpha Omega during club season. This versatility makes her a strong candidate for playing six rotations at the next level. Peyton's powerful swing, combined with her defensive tenacity and passing skills, makes her a valuable asset to her team. She is only 68 kills away from 1,000 for her career and just 225 digs shy of another impressive milestone, positioning her for a standout season.
