The Future is Here – Dallas Up Next Top Performers Vol 3

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prep Dig Texas Showcases are back!  We had a big event that was held at the Courtside Sports Center on August 8^th.  The Dallas Up Next showcase for the middle school classes was amazing! These events always bring together athletes from across the state looking to compete in front of coaches while being evaluated by Prep Dig scouts and court coaches. There were tons of awesome players that we evaluated from their awesome production. Showcases like this continue to provide a valuable platform for athletes to be seen, tested, and recognized for their individual performance and intangibles. She competed at both the right side and middle blocker positions throughout the day and handled the transitions between them without missing a beat. Her net presence and willingness to not back down from any attacker were some of the more imposing things in the gym and the way she generated offense with purpose stood out to everyone. She led with energy and kept her side of the net communicating throughout every segment of the event. The class of 2031 in the Dallas area has some size, but Linson stands out even in that company. What she showed was enough to make our way to her court multiple times and have multiple coaches nominate her for this award. Her approach was technically sound and she attacked with a shoulder rotation and follow-through that generated real velocity without the mechanical breakdowns you often see in hitters this young. She read the block and made adjustments mid-approach rather than committing to one shot and executing it regardless of what the defense gave her. She competed with a focus and an edge that made it clear the game matters to her and that came through in every rally she was part of. Her versatility is not just a listed attribute. It reflects a player who understands the game from multiple angles and brings the defensive instincts of a libero to the outside hitter position and the competitive aggression of a pin hitter to the back row. The ground she covered defensively throughout the day drew consistent attention from court coaches who were evaluating players much bigger than her doing the same job with far less range. Her serve receive was clean and her attacking showed timing and creativity that made up for every inch the matchup did not favor her. She was one of the more enjoyable players to watch all day and the Top Performer award she earned reflected how much she put into every single point.
