Underclassmen Who Already Play Beyond Their Years

Some athletes don't wait until they're upperclassmen to make an impact, they step onto the court with the confidence, composure, and skill of experienced veterans.   Their high volleyball IQ, work ethic, and ability to perform in pressure moments have already set them apart from their peers.   Here are a few Colorado underclassmen who are already playing well beyond their years and have bright futures ahead.    Josie Helle enters her freshman season this fall with plenty of momentum after helping her club team earn a podium finish at the USAV National Championships. Despite her young age, Helle plays with poise beyond her years, using outstanding court vision and smart shot selection to make quick offensive decisions and consistently find ways to score. She also contributes in the back row with solid ball control, dependable serve receive, and the ability to read opposing hitters, making her a well rounded player who is poised to become one of her team's go to attackers.     Arianna Clarose anchors her team's back row with relentless defensive effort, exceptional ball control, and the ability to keep plays alive. Fresh off a USAV National Championship with her club team, Clarose enters the high school season poised to be one of the top liberos to watch. She is a cornerstone in serve receive, covering a tremendous amount of court and consistently keeping her team in system, making life easier for both her setter and hitters.     Evelyn Traylor is an explosive athlete whose athleticism and training allow her to elevate above the competition. One of the craftiest pin hitters in her class, Traylor combines a powerful arm swing with an excellent feel for the game, mixing hard driven attacks with well placed shots to consistently keep opposing defenses off balance. She is a reliable out of system attacker and an anchor in the back row, where her relentless defensive effort and ability to read the court make her a complete six rotation player.     Norah Feik is a strong, athletic middle blocker with the potential to become one of the top players in her graduating class. She combines a high contact point with impressive athleticism, making her one of her team's go to attackers and a consistent scoring threat. Feik works hard in transition and thrives in fast tempo offenses, while defensively she establishes herself as a major blocking presence with her timing, positioning, and ability to take away space at the net.     Sydney Corr has continued to improve each season, developing into one of the craftiest setters in the class of 2029. With a high volleyball IQ and excellent court vision, Corr processes the game quickly, allowing her to make smart decisions and consistently put her hitters in the best position to score. She also excels at handling tight passes near the net and pairs her playmaking ability with relentless defensive effort, helping her team extend rallies and stay in system.
