2028 Middle Blockers Making Their Presence Felt at the Net

Colorado's 2028 middle blocker class is making a major impact at the net early this high school season. From terminating in transition to creating big time slowdowns defensively, these young middles are showing impressive athleticism, efficiency, and versatility. Here are several 2028 middle blockers who have stood out and made their presence felt so far this fall. Delaney Parker looks poised for a standout junior season, leading the way at the net for Lewis-Palmer. Parker is a crafty middle who does a great job finding open space in transition and putting herself in a position to score. She brings quick feet and the ability to close efficiently to the pins, making her a strong blocking presence across the net. Offensively, Parker is a reliable weapon who can terminate consistently when Lewis-Palmer is able to get her the ball. Her combination of efficiency, quickness, and presence at the net makes her an important piece for Lewis-Palmer this fall. Olivia Pitts has been nothing short of exceptional to start the high school season. The Falcon junior is already putting up big time numbers on both sides of the ball and has become one of the team's most reliable options offensively. Falcon looks to Pitts in transition and off serve receive to terminate, and her ability to play above the net makes her difficult to slow down. Pitts is a high flyer with a powerful arm swing, although she is a middle blocker, she also brings an impressive level of ball control to the back court. Sh contributes with touches in serve receive and in defense to showcase a well rounded game. Ziah Anderson brings a steady presence to the floor for Rock Canyon, leading the way in both blocks and hitting percentage. Her consistency is what sets her apart, as she has the ability to adjust to a variety of sets and find ways to score even when the ball is not perfect. Anderson brings an impressive vertical and athleticism to the court, allowing her to cover a lot of ground at the net and be an effective option in transition. Defensively, she positions herself well and consistently gets strong touches at the net, creating slowdowns and giving Rock Canyon opportunities to extend rallies. Lexi Threlkeld has been a standout for Highlands Ranch early this season, leading the way in both total blocks and hitting percentage. Threlkeld is putting up big time numbers and looks increasingly confident every time she steps on the court. She brings a high contact point and dynamic arm swing that make her a difficult attacker to slow down at the net. What stands out most is her ability to find open space and score from a variety of locations, giving Highlands Ranch a reliable offensive weapon they can turn to throughout a match. Aubrie Renn has been phenomenal for TCA to start the high school season. Renn has been one of her team's most efficient offensive weapons, leading the way in hitting percentage while also making a major impact defensively at the net with her blocking presence. She is a dynamic middle who thrives in a fast tempo offense and is especially effective on the slide attack. When TCA can consistently get her the ball, Renn has the ability to take over matches. Another part of her game that stands out is her ball control. As a serving middle who also plays solid defense in the back row, Renn brings valuable versatility to the court.
