2029 Player Rankings: Top Outside Hitters

Her all-around play looks stronger each month.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='776808' first='Brynn' last='Johnson'], Marshall/FaR Out: </strong>Johnson made a big splash as a freshman being among the state leaders in kills and she's proving that was no fluke. She's got the ability to take on a big offensive workload and still be an elite defender.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='885461' first='Riley' last='Harrah'], Tecumseh/Legacy: </strong>You want to see some power, check out Harrah at the net. Every time the ball comes her way, there's going to be some fireworks. She terminates at a high level from either end of the net and is improving consistently with her defensive play.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='888951' first='Piper' last='Vugteveen'], Hudsonville/FaR Out: </strong>A 6-footer that can play anywhere along the net and power the ball with a smooth swing that hits another gear in her follow through. Vugteveen is definitely a prospect many D1 college programs will be looking to scoop up in the future.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='775991' first='Sydney' last='Manning'], BC Lakeview/Far Out: </strong>Manning has a great all-around game, as she can make the key play on defense and follow it up with a devastating kill. Her athleticism and footwork make her a very explosive player in all phases of the game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='885467' first='Adeline' last='Peterson'], Pioneer/Legacy: </strong>The 6'2” Peterson has a lot of potential and is tapping into it more each week. She's a big presence defensively with her length and she's got a vertical that allows her to easily get over many blockers when on the attack.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='782729' first='Rachel' last='Unsworth'], Brighton/L2: </strong>Unsworth is a 6-footer that can play anywhere along the net as well and is developing into a six-rotation outside. She's already got big power at the net, and the agility to develop into a top-level defender as she gets more reps.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1023736' first='Gabbie' last='Parrish'], Stoney Creek/Legacy: </strong>Parrish is a well-balanced outside that shows a high level of court awareness. She has the full arsenal of shot speeds and placements to work with, while also being a defender that can come through in the clutch.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='895702' first='Iceiss' last='Morrison'], Dakota/Michigan Elite: </strong>Morrison gets really long at the net and can attack the ball at a high point with good power. She's quick on her feet and has a lot of spring off the floor. Morrison is a prospect with a very high ceiling that is getting the reps to show how good she can become.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='888976' first='Madison' last='Smith'], Brighton/Legacy: </strong>Smith brings a polished and smart game to the floor. She's developed into a very reliable six-rotation player, as she sees the court well and is technically sound in all areas while still having the athleticism to be a power hitter at the net.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
