2030’s Making A Splash In 2026 Prep Season

<p>We know this 2030 class in Michigan is going to be one to remember.</p>   <p>Already reaching great heights in club season, many freshman are stepping up and making a big impact for their varsity prep teams already.</p>   <p>Here's a look at some of the 2030 names that are making a splash.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1009293' first='Alexa' last='Apostolovski'], MB Utica</strong></h2>   <p>This 6'2” middle is dominating at the net this fall, especially on defense. While she's put down 50 kills, she's also got 35 blocks. That doesn't even count all the countless other attacks she's slowed down.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1009098' first='Laura' last='Aubrey'], OH Mercy</strong></h2>   <p>The Marlins look like they can win another state title this year and Aubrey is proving to be a big reason why. She's sitting just shy of 100 kills already while hitting .300. She's also compiled 79 digs and 13 aces.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='938309' first='Juliet' last='Berishaj'], RS Eisenhower</strong></h2>   <p>Another power hitter in the Berishaj family, Juliet is showing an incredible finishing rate thus far. She's put down 91 kills for Eisenhower while hitting an impressive .403 against strong competition.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1007121' first='Brielle' last='Eveland'], S Lowell</strong></h2>   <p>The Red Arrows were going to go with a two-setter system but an injury forced Eveland to have to be the lone solider running the offense and she's shining. She's already approaching 350 assists on the year while adding over 50 digs.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='958515' first='Molly' last='Hickey'], S Marian</strong></h2>   <p>Hickey is part of a two-freshmen setter offense at Marian, but she's leading the way thus far with 194 assists. While working with a lot of talented hitters, Hickey already shows a lot of maturity and leadership skills. She's also contributed 45 digs on defense.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1007547' first='Amelia' last='Kurtz'], S Milford</strong></h2>   <p>The Class of 2030 is going to be a special one for setters. Kurtz looks like the real deal as she's got Milford playing at a high level right now. The freshman has 198 assists to go along with 58 digs and 14 aces.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Vivien McLoughlin, OH/MH St. Joseph Our Lady of the Lake</strong></h2>   <p>McLoughlin has put down 99 kills thus far in 2026 while hitting nearly .290 for OLL. She's also got 65 digs to aid her squad. McLoughlin got some playing time as an eighth grader, so she brings a little experience to the group.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Janie Osness, S Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard</strong></h2>   <p>Osness is doing a great job of running the Irish offense, as she has compiled 222 assists over 30 sets of play, and doing a nice job of spreading the ball around to her hitters. Osness also has 50 digs and 20 aces.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='984451' first='Cate' last='Verkeyn'], OH Mercy</strong></h2>   <p>Another well-balanced freshman outside for the loaded Marlins, Verkeyn has 57 kills while hitting .323. She's also a defensive asset with 46 digs to go along with 15 blocks and 11 aces.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Kyleigh Wightman, OH North Branch</strong></h2>   <p>There's another talented young prospect in the North Branch program. This time is an outside hitter with a strong defensive game. Wightman has 103 digs on the season to go along with 58 kills and 21 aces. She can do a bit of everything.</p>
