Through hard work and other things, others not only step into roles, but excel at them. She has been splitting the sets for Taylor County. Jessie has a good touch on her sets. She does a good job involving numerous hitters. On defense, she uses her athleticism to track down balls and react quickly. Newman guards lines well and takes minimal steps to balls. Newman has improved her footwork on serve reception and defense. Young does a good job reading hitters and doing what she can to beat balls to their destinations on the floor. Young does not hesitate to swing her arms out to close seams and make strong first contacts. Walker partrols the back row with authority. She reads hitters well and does what she can to beat balls to their destinations on the floor. Spaulding has made a huge impact on defense with a team-high 144 digs. Spaulding uses her athleticism to track down balls and keep rallies going.
