12-0 and Rolling: Mountain Vista’s Vets Leading the Way

The Golden Eagles have been putting together a strong season, and plenty of experience is helping set the tone.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>From steady first contact to big swings and smart setting, Mountain Vista's upperclassmen continue to play important roles in keeping this team rolling. The senior DS/libero has already collected a whopping 116 digs this season, showing just how much work she is putting in defensively. She also brings value from the service line and has developed into a real serving threat. The senior outside continues to bring an efficient attack to the court while taking on plenty of responsibility for Mountain Vista. She is already hitting .350 with 102 kills, giving the Golden Eagles a consistent offensive option. She has already recorded 107 digs this season, and that number reflects the amount of responsibility she is taking on defensively. Schmidt does a nice job helping keep the offense moving and continues to gain valuable experience running the show. The senior setter has recorded 111 assists this season and brings plenty of experience to the position. With Bowyer and Schmidt both running the offense, Mountain Vista has two setters who understand how to make decisions and keep the attack organized. Warta protects her side of the court with authority and isn't afraid to be aggressive. She can make an impact as a blocker, attacker, and overall presence at the net.
