North Texas 6A Big Killers

<p>Texas class 6A high schools have been putting on a great show as we kick off the 26-27 season. While there are some big names we already know are making some noise this year, but who is playing alongside them? Other influential athletes making a difference on the court for their teams. We've touched on setters, now let's talk about the hitters getting the job done. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">6A Setters </h2>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li><a href="https://prepdig.com/2026/09/north-texas-6a-super-setters/">https://prepdig.com/2026/09/north-texas-6a-super-setters/↗</a></li> </ul>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">6A Hitters</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Olivia Kitur, junior outside hitter who needs no introduction. Pushing alongside a dominating Allen High team, she is keeping an aggressive offense going all six rotations. Giving her team a second option in the back row and using her size and athleticism to cover deep corners defensively.Her ability to read the defense, swing hard, and control the play is a big help to the success of this team and is not showing any signs of being stopped this season.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Sasha Lanis, a 6 rotation sophomore outside hitter for Byron Nelson is making a statement on the court. Bringing controlled and methodical play to the game, lighting up the line at every opening the block gives her and putting the ball where defenders are not. Her defense is driven by the same sense of control as she sticks to the fundamentals and takes her feet to every pass. Sasha does not hesitate to make a play and trusts her read on the ball, giving her teammates complete confidence in her ability to do her job.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Nayeli Crawford, a 2028 outside hitter for Duncanville is making some real noise for the power ranked team. In her own light, she sits at #7 in kills in her district, setting a large spotlight on her ability to deliver at the net. It's not all about a strong swing for Nayeli, her time on te court so far has shown of a high IQ for the game. Picking and choosing angles when she swings to score around the defense. Her ability to read the floor and finish the play puts her and her team in great position for a strong run.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Aleah Edmond, a reliable 6 rotation outside hitter for Flower Mound High School is breathing kills this season. Sitting at 332 kills after this past week she is setting the bar high for defending teams. She clearly has an efficient swing at the net and continues her work from behind the serving line with an aggressive float that keeps defenders moving. Her ability to use her size at the net and remain fundamentally sound defensively makes her a difficult opponent to take out of the game.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Hebron 6 rotation hitter, Kate McGough, has brought grit and fire to the season from all positions. Playing defense first and delivering strong and effective swings at the net. Being quick and decisive with her attacks, Kate is showing to be very effective in her role for Hebron. As the season progresses, there is no doubt, Kate will be making a difference on the court.</p>
